I've got 19 hours to complete 3 assignments and prepare for a test. The assignments aren't hard, I'll do them today, but I have virtually no practice for the test.
Got to learn the material within that 19 hours. I can do this by dedicating ~8 hours straight to learning the material starting at 00:00 the next day.
Committing the time for this day to doing the assignments and getting in the right headspace for what is coming up.

I don't know why I do this. I had the entirety of spring break to prepare to any degree at all. I always do this instead of preparing every single time. Why is it so hard to work with no pressure?
Routines never seem to stick since I always get bored of them and start fucking up my sleep by playin vidya or driving around town or brainrotting or really ANYTHING but sleeping.
Couldn't care less about my degree honestly but I still have pride strong enough to fuel me to prove to others I can do it. College is so fucking easy I can't even imagine what I could achieve if I actually tried beyond sporadic bouts of memorizing.
Ideally I'd live in the woods with an internet connection. I'd have to learn how to hunt/fish and butcher my own food or find some remote job but that all feels preferable to what I'm doing right now.
Perhaps I'll just work with my degree for a time until I have enough money saved up and learn the skills to do that.

not a bad idea, but you need to actually do the "get degree, get money" part for now

you should. the difference between
>i dont care about this content but i'll learn it anyways, this is inane and beneath me
and
>i willingly picked this path for my life, i might as well take some interest in the subject matter for the thing i'll be making a living off of for the forseeable future, whether i like it or not
is astronomical. if all you want to do is rot, play vidya and scroll on tiktok then fucking drop out, get a $20/hr wagie slop job, and rent a condo, then you're set for life. or you can suck it up and work for a better life. shit or get off the pot.

I will. I always do. It's my own pride that doesn't let me turn in no or shitty work. If I'm going to do it I'm going to do it right. I still couldn't care less about the work though but the idea of wasting time and money to not get the degree feels worse in addition to the label of "failure".

I think I just need to get away from all these expectations from other people and even myself. The degree helps in securing independence, which has been my goal for a long time.
