Everything I am good at and interested in is slowly getting replaced by AI.
>software development
>design
>writing
>art
Should I just end it? I don't want to work in a factory or sit in pointless management meetings all day. Instead of replacing manual labor with robots we are replacing all the fun creative jobs with AI. I wanted to write a book, but in a year or two AI can just shit one out in 30 seconds. I have no purpose in life anymore and nothing to look forward to. What do?

There's literally mountains of research and study that AI's impacts on industries has been functionally non-existent. Also if you stopped being interested in design and art because of AI you're more soulless than the machine.
>>
>>34373063
you're a retard
>>
>>34373077
That's just cope. Unless AI stops improving tomorrow it's just a matter of time until all of those fields lose 90% of employees with only a few AI wranglers left.

Remember that the people who fund and develop AI have names and addresses.

the fall of white collar jobs is quite funny to me

Exactly
Thank god for AI for displacing all these fraudshits

Wanting to make a living makes you a fraud?

did you get fired from your job?

You’re just using AI as a pre-emptive excuse to give up, perhaps because giving up is less scary than trying and failing. Feel free to give up. If AI is your excuse then the world lost no value

Software development is replaced by AI... when you have an actual software engineer that can describe an MVC model or a JSON exchange or why a search needs to stay nlogn for a tolerable UI experience. When you have a moron describe what they want you get a WinUI 3 app that has three windows and tries to run 3 pytorch instances in 3 separate tabs

Wanting to make a living off of it instead of just doing it because you want to indeed makes you a massive fraud
>>
>>34377591
It implies you're more attracted to the lifestyle and status egoslop rather than the actual craft/field/activity itself
>>
>>34373083
It already stopped improving nigga, it's an entire industry ran on copium and false promises
Also you were never going to make a living from writing books or doing art anyway. Those are not real jobs, they are hobbies. Except for a tiny minority of people.

I'm so happy snarky leftyfaggots are on the verge of suicide because DUH HECKIN CAWMPOOTAWS AWE TAYKIN AWE JAWBS!! or whatever, maybe consider doing a better job? The computer works much harder than you do and you're entitled to nothing. Why should you be considered over the better applicants? Have you tried not being an irredeemable piece of shit, you fucking speciest? Ah well, shame you spent 25 years of your finite lifespan and racked up 100k of student debt, pull up those bootstraps and do the jobs the computers cant do maybe?? Good luck working as a manual labourer for the rest of your life retard. If you're so lucky.

if AI replaces everything, you will just get ubi since the goods etc would just be made by robots
>>

Lmfao.
>>
>>34384566
Yeah the overlords are well known for redistributing the profits gained from automation / replacing workers...

More likely there will be another convenient series of wars or another virus accidentally escapes from the lab and kills off most of the useless people. The people who think this AI boom will lead to UBI and a Star Trek future did not pay attention in history class. It didn't work in soviet russia or communist china and it won't happen in our future either.
If you are not needed for the economy to function then nobody will care what you want or need. You will just be seen as a net drain on the system.

its the obvious next step, the first industrialisation where people stopped having to be serfs and could work in factories brought a similar new level of wealth that people generations before never knew

>its the obvious next step, the first industrialisation where people stopped having to be serfs and could work in factories
Industrialization replaced most man-power with machines, so people went into intellectual jobs that machines could not do and regained their usefulness and social status.
Now machines replace most of these intellectual jobs too.
Where do you suggest people will find new jobs to make themselves useful? You are baselessly assuming new jobs will just appear out of nowhere because it happened once before. But what would humans do better than AI in 5-10 years? Your entire argument is wishful thinking and extrapolation from a sample size of one.
