You don't learn art it's not a technique.
It's only practice, just draw shitty thing until you make good things.

maybe dumb advice but play Roblox and play the game Draw Me
so you can like get a feel for drawing

Assuming youre not a compulsive liar, perhaps stoping to bitch about it could distract from your ongoing progress.

Furthermore, no one successful asked themselves that question.

Also a beginner but I've made some progress and all I can tell you is that the good old 'Just draw' actually works.
Draw every day, the more pages filled, the quicker you will progress.
Listen to a video or stream or music in the background to make it more pleasant.
Read Atomic Habits, it will tell you lots of usefull things that can be applied to drawing.
Abandon standarts. Have no expectations. Just the fact that you're drawing is alway the right decicion. Wheter you draw every day or you don't, the time will pass either way.
In just a few years you will definitely see your skills improve.
Just take a pen and paper and draw, its that simple.

sounds weird, but it could be... :). thanks

Technique can improve the process but the final product is largely a result of consistent practice.
Get s sketchbook and start drawing and most importantly FINISH EVERY ILLUSTRATION. Even if it looks like it will end up as shit the very action of the attempt improves your skill.

If you need additional help consider purchasing a generic "How to Draw" book of some sort. Real scholastic book fair type shit. Practice the basics then move on to anime or whatever.

You need to have talent. You only realize whether you have talent by trying it. Drawing is a talent-heavy mental fortitude-heavy skill.

If you have creativity, just draw anything as much as you can. If you have the talent, you will make visual corrections as you go. If you don't have talent you will have to ask yourself if this is what you want to get your livelihood from and start looking for a method to train.

People start with Loomis, which is basic cartoonist training for people with talent. Another approach is to take the time to learn perspective properly and train repeatedly very boring things. If you have neither talent or a free light mindset, then you shouldn't try it and look something else to do.

Gonna differ from these other fags and say drawing a billion pages and for a billion hours won't mean shit if you don't know how to improve, which you don't. Quantity does bring quality but there's diminishing returns. Your picrel is mainly lineart, which is where people start. Just keep in mind every drawing is a combination of only five symbols/shapes: triangles, squares, circles, spirals, and intersecting lines. Now you say you can't draw a straight line...take an a4 pad that has lines for writing, and just trace them backwards and forwards. Short lines, long lines. Eventually you'll be able to forgo the tracing. Trace every other shape on anything else that's printed too but start with basic lines. Shading comes after but don't worry about that shit now.

I should've just said find a way to print picrel and trace it. You'll be more motivated because that's style you desire. Just keep in mind the universal shapes I mentioned, notice them all over your image and the variations on them.

What worked for me was going full autistic on it, total desperation and insanity. I said fuck this world I'm gonna figure this out. Was a gruelling few days(yes, just days) but worth it. The key for me was to just sit the fuck down and think about what it is and how to reproduce it. Analyzed to death.

Every other artist on the planet started this way.

> i wanna learn drawing (mostly anime) but idk where to start. tutorials
When I was young, I just tried to copy everything I saw that looked nice. It was mostly cartoons and comics. You just need to put in the large amount of time to develop the brain and muscle memory. After you develop some skill, you can start looking at tutorials to refine your technique.

Immitation. Look at materials and try to draw it in your own hand (style), no tracing.

Sounds good
