I need help determining where to move. After finally getting financially stable after covid my mom is moving out and for the first time ever I'll be living alone but my place is to expensive so I want to move. I can live in the same area, for about 2500 and have 750+ sqft, but a lot of the places have older exteriors despite being remodeled inside. Or I can move 20mi south and pay around 2450 for a 700sqft place. My commute would be 10 mins longer because despite being farther there is less traffic. It would also put me right next to the city in a pretty affluent area next to a large university. Usually if I want to do stuff I have to drive there from where I live and it's 40+ minutes. The place would now put me next to concert venues, 5 mins from the beach, closer to hiking spots, and 15 from the city. My 4runner would pay the price in extra gas and my mileage being doubled though.I'm 30, 6ft, 110k salary, getting a masters, decently handsome, and funny in a fucked up way, but have limited relationship experience. Ive only had 1 gf, just got fucked up from a situationship, and lost about half my friends. I meet a lot of people at concerts and school but they all live near the city. I want to get more experience with women so i stop fumbling, but really just want a wife atp. My area is a bit of a dead zone suburb that has more families than singles. Everyone ive dated or fucked has been in the city. Should i stay around my area and save maybe a couple hundred more or move south in the hopes i can build up my social skills and circle? No garuantee i succeed at touching grass if i move south.
>>34380031based on your description it seems you want to move to the south, but are just scared to make the move and want someone to tell you to go for it, so i guess go for it
>>34380042Well, I guess I couldve elaborated that grad school is expensive as fuck, my savings are kinda low, and ive got medical bills so staying in my area might save me a bit. But thanks for the input
