I kinda hate myself when I play competitive multiplayer games
Every time I get in and start losing I start calling myself worthless garbage, and that I can never beat whoever my opponent is no matter how much I practice or play
Why am I like this

I used to. Felt the same back then. Now I limit myself to only playing them some times but its still the same.

You can only lose in competitive games. I have so many hours in counter strike and I don't even know if I enjoyed a single hour playing that game. I don't get how people play it solo while staying sane.
Often I wouldn't even even try to win. I would lose the motivation mid match and wonder why I was playing in the first place. I think the only way to get any sense of fun out of a game like that is to play it with friends and not care about your ranking.

My case is a bit different since I play street fighter so its 1v1 games i deal with instead of teammate problems

I used to play pubg and found it enjoyable. Mix of chill looting and then adrenaline and high stakes.

Literally just look for small ways to improve and implement them little by little. Compete against yourself.

Thats what I try to do but I still end up getting upset when I fail to do things that I feel like I should be better at.

It takes a while to get accurate at micro-skills. Laugh at yourself.
