I need a job but dont have ID. Culture has lied to me all my life that there is cash in hand odd jobs so that people can scrape by or stack till they can find more legit work. Is there anyway out of this hole?
>>34390025Be a driver. Join the army and then swear on your life up and down and the theatrics that you are an anti war hippie and they won't force you into combat
>>34390263Im old. I am a driver. That precisely why a drivers license is so important. I have never not had ID, so when a tax lien and a speed trap ticket blocked my renewal, I never thought about how all salaried work needs valid ID.
so get an id retared
>>34390747Uh how? If you down grade to a ID only, you forfeit your drivers license and have to take the road test again. Its 25$, and true enough it will allow me to get a taxable job, but im a career driver so, my whole resume is rolled up to get a driving job anyway. There is about a 1000$ blocking drivers license renewal.
>>34390025What is FDOD?
>>34391330Onions's rebrand.
>>34391189Ask at the DMV about if there's a way to get your license but with restrictions on it, similar to a non-driver ID but without explicitly down grading.
>>34392619Strangely the one branch has round here is fairly competent and several of the were pow wowing about my problem and id imagine they would have suggested that, by how does that get me ahead versus any the other options? Im just paying more for the same rights as ID only. ID only i imagine I can do doordash on a bike.....
>>34390326let's start with outlining the basics:>Im old>I am a driver>There is about a 1000$ blocking drivers license renewal.>Needs legit work Start by accruing your costs vs your income. Assume your bleeding money immediately and remove as much spending as possible. That means food, fuel, shelter, entertainment. Any expense you can dump, do it. Then outline your current finances and what you have in the bank. If you have more than 1k, then dump it back into getting your license. If not, consider dumping some of your tangible assets to do so. What do you own? What can you sell? Start liquidating your assets by posting them to sites like Facebook Marketplace and Ebay and turn your goods into the cash you need to reclaim your license. >I have nothing and am homeless.Start by outlining the services you can provide as an individual with as little cost as possible. Consider options like a night watchman or street salesman. Apply to government work programs and focus on getting your first $20. Put all of it into looks. Get proper hygiene tools like a toothbrush or comb, a suit from goodwill, some deodorant. Then start socializing, talk with people and build up your personal reputation. >There is something legal keeping me from re-establishing my driving job. Where else can I work. Then start to identify places that your old and new job fit. As an example, if you were a commercial driver you might be familiar with how engines work. Look for auto shops and gas stations then apply through your job center.
