I was in this job for about 4 months and had my last shift with them yesterday.
It wasn’t great. Boring, toxic and I kept getting complaints and on my supervisors bad side. I hated them for being two faced snakes. I had enough after the last disciplinary meeting and told them that I was giving in my notice. (I have secured employment elsewhere). They accepted it. Since then I was hoping I could leave on good terms at least, and surprisingly I did. They even gave me a bottle of champagne. I did not expect that.

It could be a number of factors. Maybe they regretted their actions, maybe they liked you or the work you did for the company, maybe it's just standard procedure in the company do give bottles of champagne for employees that are leaving...

Why did you think they were two-faced? How did they usually behave? Why didn't you like them?

>why were they two faced

Well my direct supervisor decided to fuck me over in a disciplinary hearing after I “failed” to back him up during a face to face incident with another department that we work alongside with. From my perspective the guy had it under control, plus he had an open phone line to the receptionist so she could hear the whole thing go down aswell, which shows he wanted it to escalate.

The supervisor above him also had issues with me. She had an issue with me in regards to what I said to her boss (who wasn’t offended by what I said), but still felt the need to talk to me about it. I did not like how she approached me about it. She even threatened to stand me down from my post, if I wasn’t good enough for the job.

Man, sounds like people there were on the edge all the time, wtf
Maybe they had their reasons, maybe they were facing some sort of struggle in the company, or maybe even a personal one, but in any case, if they acted so jumpy for no reason, then maybe you're better off leaving the place. Then again, only (You) can say, at the end of the day.

If you're feeling sort of conscious about it you can maybe contact them and talk things out just to clear the air between you, so that there're no hard feelings.

You’re not totally wrong. What you need to understand about the job was that I was a security officer for a corporate security site that had a very sensitive client (site manager). Its not the most accurate statement, but we were all afraid of her, because ultimately she was afraid of the tenants making a complaint, since they paid her shitloads. So as a result, we were constantly micromanaged to prevent the tenants from being unhappy. At the start of my time there I constantly got complaints from higher ups including the site manager that I looked sad (i have a resting sad face) so I had to force myself to be look as happy and enthused as possible whenever I saw her around. Coupled with the fact that the building was planning on trying to be sold to someone else in the future so we all had to do our best for prospective buyers and you can sort of see the strain that plagued the managers, which i. Turn affected us. Like my supervisor said, its a constant cycle of shit.
