I'm a boyish looking girl is it over for me? I work a blue collar job that is 99% male. There are a few women but they all have office jobs. Surprisingly, I'm straight but nothing about me indicates this. What type of male would even like me? Would it even be the type I work with? I'm not even remotely feminine and don't really want to be
>>

I’m also very tomboyish and most men I’ve met have been fine with it. I think they’re a bit more lenient than women when it comes to not adhering to gender norms (and some may have a fetish for it too).
>>
>>34401980
Really? How do you know if they like you? I think I'm a bit too intimidating for men to approach (I'm also big and taller than most). There's one guy about my age who stares at me a lot but we've never talked before
>>
They’re quite upfront about it, telling me things like I make them feel like they can be honest and relate more. At first I thought it was their way of telling me they viewed me only as a friend and not a partner but a few were interested in dating. I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum though where I’m petite and often mistaken for a child so maybe it’s seen as endearing and childlike in me but they would be intimidated in a bigger woman. I’m presuming you look butch, do you think they might think you’re gay?

Androgynous like picrel or more in style? Just go with feminine style, it'll give you a broader appeal. Also people might think you're a tranny. I'd be wary of masculine women for that reason even though I like them.

she very clearly looks feminine

So here's the thing. You have an ass, you have a pussy, you have tits, you have the personality of a girl (undeniably, no matter how boyish you act), and the voice of a girl.
If you're a nice girl, who's open for a connection, who's monogamous, who genuinely wants to invest effort into a man, then you are golden.

More like picrel. I don't wear my hair long either

If you want guys to like you then grow your hair out.
>>
>>34402120
I don't like how long hair feels, it's very annoying
>>
>>34402127
Then guys won't like you as much. You'll still be able to find a guy, it'll just be easier with long hair.
>>
>>34401964
you're the kind of woman everyone assumes is getting railed by 8 men at the same time.

Chances are your turning down all the guys at your job which happen to be old men.
>>

>you're the kind of woman everyone assumes is getting railed by 8 men at the same time.
Based on what?
>Chances are your turning down all the guys at your job which happen to be old men.
I would hope so, all the older men are married with children my age or close

Nta
When I cut my hair short the drop in interest was DRASTIC and then I really had to watch out for the type of guy who only wants a tomboy because he despises women who get their nails done and wear makeup. You don't want a guy who has extreme views and puts your tomboyishness on a pedestal but you don't want one who wishes you were more girly either.
For me it's important to me to show them that I am capable of dressing up and looking stereotypically feminine if I want to or the situation calls for it, and that I have no negative judgement towards those things. Telling me he thinks women who get manicures are stupid doesn't earn him any points. At best it's immature and at worst it's a manipulation tactic.
>>
>>34402206
That makes sense, I get it but due to my own comfort I keep my hair short
>>
>>34402109
>I'm in America, sorry
Damn it

So the thing is, the look on those girls is fine, it's the personality and attitude that matter.
There's a lot of negative assumptions people will make about short haired girls like that - that maybe they're manly, which means they're bitchy because they feel like they must "stand up for themselves", which can be hard to be around and have a relationship with.
So that's why I said - if you're a good person, a man will want you. It's just that the stereotypes are working a bit against you but who doesn't get judged in this world? You're you. The stereotypes melt away when people see you and you smile and you're friendly, and they don't judge anymore once they see you open your mouth and speak.

So, if you're friendly you have nothing to worry about. Download a dating app, find a nice guy, call him on the phone, if he's nice, meet him later. You got this, I don't need to tell a girl that she got it, really. You don't know how hard it is as a guy, there's no options, it's shit. You can feel literally invisible. At least for you if you want to - you download a dating app, and all the options come pouring in. So if you're really serious - download them. But just be careful in your selection, for men it's about getting matches, for women it's about sifting through matches to find the good guys. You got this, don't make me say it again, your life is easy mode enough as is.

It depends on waht "boyish" looks like. If youre tomboyish then it can be endearing but only if you dont come across as a stud. Guys might think youre a lesbian and brozone you. There are also women that act too masculine AND are unattractive (aka really fat) that its hard to be attracted to them at all
>>
>>34402226
she has no business in dating apps. Those are for whores and losers. All she needs is more time doing hobbies and trying to egg men on.

I want a girlfriend (female) that looks like a boyfriend

Most men would. Have you tried asking guys out?
>>
>>34401964
>I'm not even remotely feminine and don't really want to be
Then you can't have a straight man. When you reverse the genders this situation becomes absurd.
>Hey guys I'm a straight male but I work at a hair salon and also love to wear makeup and pink dresses why can't I find a gf?

Try any of these hairstyles. They're both short and feminine.
>>
>>34401964
What's your body build like? And your hair?

If you are slim/skinny, you can still pull off being girly. If you are bigger then you probably need to lose weight to look less butch. Grow hair longer or shoulder length
>>
>>34401964
At least workout so you have a nice body.
I think if you look like >>34402109 but also have a fridge body and wear boyish clothes it's really not going to appeal to any guys instincts regarding mating.
>>
I get you Anonette I'm in the same boat, I'm not big though but I get mistaken for a young boy and got asked for id even though I'm over 10 years older than the drinking age.
I also have short hair and I like to dress comfy and my style would be akin to Toni Soprano. Well I'm obsessed with gym and I sent a guy that I'm dating photos where I look pretty swole. He called me beautiful etc. but also told me to not be afraid to be more feminine which kind of hit the nerve. He didn't tell me directly to change but still it's upsetting because I like him the way he is. I wouldn't mind exploring more feminine clothes but it's also something that I'd slowly try out because ultimately my wardrobe is comfort based(autistic). I have a acquaintance that seemingly changed for a man from tomboy to wearing dresses hosewifey vibe and that feels ingenuine and weak. So after I've been told that I kinda reactively don't want to change even if before this comment I'd be open to experiment. But I'll take this as an awkward phrasing, outside of this comment, our connection is promising and we met on tinder. So in my experience it's hard to find someone irl and dating apps require a lot of swiping but there's a chance. I had a match before that was really intense, even though he realised he's not ready for a relationship, he told me I'm perfect and should never stop going to the gym. That was the first time I really had a connection that was mutual, and while it hurt, it was also touching to be appreciated for a first time and it gave me hope.

I'm a guy who worked a couple of times in a processing plant, overwhelmingly male; granted, it was an isolated area, and sure, pretty girls may _obviously_ get attention, but my overwhelming impression was that after a while, guys were just glad to be with any woman at all (some were quite frankly and mystifyingly desperate - you'd think they were shipwrecked sailors; one guy paid an old fat local woman for sex). I had a girlfriend for a while from that - plump, (maybe too plump, alas), but she was really lovely to be around.
I know this sounds lame, but I've no reason to bullshit you: you're in an optimal social situation for guys to both get to know you, and to frankly be a bit desperate to get to know any woman. Get healthy, get happy, and both those things make anyone more attractive too. You don't have to squeeze yourself into any form to do that. Be chill.

>What type of male would even like me?
The kind that don't like excessively girly women? I grew up in the country, most of the girls were of necessity tomboys, and that's the kind of girl that wound up being my type.
>>
>>34401964
>What type of male would even like me
Just dont be fat. Thats literally the only thing women need to be liked

This is a bait post made by someone who doesn't exist, as in general women like these have no problems finding boyfriends if they're straight.
