I have absolutely no idea how to make friends. I feel like ive spent so much time alone with games or the internet that i genuinely do not know how to connect to anyone. i feel afraid to express myself to anyone or else i'd be seen as a weirdo. the older i get the less acceptable that becomes. i just don't know how to connect with people because im so fucking stuck on my hyperfixations. how do i find people who actually understand me?
i dont think its you. i think its that society has become really disjointed that we have nothing that connects us together. i say this as someone thats lived in two different countries. if you live in USA in a big city making friends is impossible. but in my asian country making friends is like breathing air because everyone watches the same shows, has the same humor, everyone is open to throwing parties and inviting strangers. i say this as someone thats ND. if you want to make friends i suggest giving up entirely on finding friends in the physical realm and make friends online in Discord servers, games, and other forums. unless you can find a decent anime or gaming group IRL just give up

sure, it might be possible to find people out there doing your special interest. but it might be a special interest for a reason. im really into breakdancing and tricking for example. but these sports are so niche that you need to look really far just to find people that are into it. it might be easier to find different hobbies
>>34402346stop having retarded /jp/ hobbiesget socially accepted hobbies>how to connect to anyonemake them feel safe by default, like you're not doing anything special, you just seem like a person with whom the other person feels safe, doesn't expect you to get offended, doesn't expect you to offend them, hurt them, whatever. /jp/ hobbies give creepy weirdo/pedophile vibes in the west. you gotta know what's non creepy in your culture.

>>34402346>>34403239if anything I feel like the internet and social media has made people less normie. I hear people IRL saying shit like “-maxxing” never heard that years ago.Anyways OP I think you need to find a middle balance to make it easy to socialize
