I saw my gf's friend and I have been smittened, there's something about here that makes my heart think she's the one.

I'm so pissed. How do you deal with this?

My gf is more attractive but her features and behaviour make me feel comfy. I try to stay away from talking to her too much.

i have a similar situation with my bf's friend, i kind of just try to ignore it. he once basically flirted at me and i think it made my bf want to slightly distance himself, but he might feel like it's not worth it to cut ties since the friend is in the same scene. but oh well we see him only once every 6 months anyways.

i also just try to remember that i did have a crush on my bf and i did get "butterflies in the stomach" around him, but you can't keep feeling like you're always arlund your crush once the years go by. i might get the same feelings around the friend, but that stage of a relationship doesn't last. so, no reason to chase le butterflies.

>he once basically flirted at me
What a shitty person.
>>
>>34403308
he had usually always come across as modest and distant around me so it was surprising when it happened yup.
>>
>>34403317
What did he do
>>
>>34403328
indirect compliment about my looks while we were all talking about something unrelated. i was pretty confused at first and basically wondered if i had heard wrong, but later bf confirmed it

An observation about someone's looks isn't flirting, but doubly so for men.
Even if it was outright like "Stacy is hella hot, Mike's a lucky guy"
That's still not flirting.
>>
>>34404618
i mean you worded that one in a specific way especially with the "he's a lucky guy" sentence you added lol. it was him saying he'd never mind dating a a beautiful woman, right after making a comment about my looks . it felt awkward i suppose because we all know i'm shy around him.

I think the other anon has the right idea. No need to be chasing something destructive if the person you're dating is nice and you're happy together. Butterflies in your stomach don't usually last long, no need to wreck your lives over it.
So, just try and ignore it. If possible, try to avoid contact with her to avoid any unnecessary temptations, and focus on the positive aspects of your current gf.

I think it does give the impression he is flirting, yeah. If he really was or not, who knows, but the context sort of implies it, IMO.

>How do you deal with this?
When I was younger I was dating one girl, then, there's this other girl that we both know, I just clicked with this other girl, and we both were into each other. This new girl would be my new gf. After some years we had a messy breakup and I realized the first girl was a way better person. I always feel bad from what I did to her.

How do you feel about your bf?

Based story, thanks for sharing

Thank you for sharing that, it's a really interesting story!
Really makes you think about the whole situation. I think your bf made a good call to distance, that's some low self control behavior and while I understand where the dude is coming from I still think it's a big disrespect on you and his friend.

To op:
I'm right now in a dating phase, finally started getting a couple matches. The important thing I'm thinking is:
1) don't get confused and prioritize girls who have intentions of hooking up over relationship intentions
2) don't mislead any girl making them think you're getting somewhere while still seeing other girls

I think it's important for your own mental health and the mental health of the people that you get involved with, that you understand that a relationship is a bazillion times more important, useful, and fun, over a hookup that will dissolve inevitably.
Same applies for lust, there's so many people out there. But are they your forever hole? Are they someone who really WANTS to stay, to be with you, to care for you? That's rare. And money can't buy that. So don't make mistakes chum.

You're experiencing the classic "my girlfriend is not that exciting anymore"
Remind yourself of excitement. Have more sex, have more dates, have more talks. Plan dedicated times for love, get some love from her, give her love back. But don't chase new thrills. That's just not a sustainable solution, and you will forever know that you skipped over someone and hurt them because you thought you could do better. You need to judge objectively if she gives you what you want. Is she a good gf, does she give you love? are you enjoying her when she's around? If the answer is yes, keep your dick in your pants.

That's not flirting. A girl who literally had a boyfriend called me pretty and then said I looked like some fictional character she later said was hot. Didn't feel like flirting at all. I think she just thought I looked nice.
>>
>>34405232
Bro are you retarded? You're not her, trust the other person's judgement - she said that this dude said:
"You're so pretty"
Awkward silence
"I wouldn't mind dating a pretty chick"

Infront of her and her fucking bf, get a better fucking sense of imagination retard, the dude fumbled hard it's not about what he said it's about how he said it - that was his interest leaking out and everyone could smell it and see his spaghetti, and because of this the intention was clear that this dude was flirting.

>Girl complimented me
Boys complimenting girls is different
