Is it true that headphones need some time to be "broken in?"I'm listening to these $10 earbuds I just bought for a few hours now. And at first they sounded like crap. That bass in a tiny tin can effect. But then I listened to my old $300 headphones and now the $300 headphones sound like crap and the $10 earbuds sound a bit better. What the fuck is going on over here?
>>34411673I think it's likely just a matter of you getting used to either of them. Since you've been using the earbuds, shifting to the headphones may make the sounds weird for a moment, specially since they both deliver the sound in slightly different ways (the buds go straight into the ear, while the headphones cover the whole ear).
>>34411673yeah it takes about three weeks of wear to break in a pair, the sound does clear up over time but you can speed it up with diluted vinegar, just mix 1:1 with water and once a day submerge the earbuds into the solution for about 2 minutes then let dry, they will be ready in under a week, i do this with every pair i get nowdays because its just easier.
>>34412673>submerge the earbuds into the solutionYou're trolling me, right? This guy's trolling me.
>>34412689well obviously they must be turned off or plugged out when you are doing it
>>34412701Omg you're not trolling. You're serious. What if... these are wireless earbuds?>>34411686It's funny, now when I plug them into my laptop listening to the same exact MP3 I was listening to on my phone, they sound better.
>>34411673I heard Walmart headphones are better than apples
In theory, yes. But it's not a serious consideration for small speakers, far less for the minuscule ones in your head phones.
>>34412711What?>>34412714Hmmm
>>34411673Don't listen to music. It damages hearing and the psyche generally. It gets you stuck in loops.Plato was right about music, it should be illegal.
>>34412781What?
>>34412812Read plato if you're confused.Music should be illegal, it's a perverse excess.
>>34412967I like music though.
>>34412967How exactly would you plan on making music illegal? Just curious
>>34412721Apple’s airpods/headphones
>>34413027I know what the airpods are, I'm just in disbelief that walmart's brand would be better.
>>34413000Plato was a totalitarian. I will find a way.
>>34413058I could be wrong, they’re only $20You could go through the reviews
>>34413131Man, I don't trust reviews anymore. I've bought things on amazon that people said were horrible and falling apart right after they bought them and then I bought them and they were great and lasted for months if not years.I think online reviews are a psyop or other sellers trashing each other in a zero sum war to get the most customers.
>>34413080kek okay
>>34413300>I think online reviews are a psyop or other sellers trashing each other in a zero sum war to get the most customers.Exactly, many are just other vendors trashing their competitors. But some of them do have a basis, not all bad reviews are senseless.
>>34413393When they post pictures with their review, of the broken product, it's really convincing. I wonder how they damage the product so it makes it believable it broke on it's own through legitimate usage.
