How do I get over my persistent desire to have sex with hoes from dating apps, on account of my life being extremely boring? And yes I do other things, these are not mutually exclusive, but I still have a sex drive as a man. I also doubt that I'll ever get married, one because modern society is fucked and there's no incentives to do that anymore, two I come from a dysfunctional and alcoholic family myself, and three because I have an extremely autistic and disagreeable personality which makes formal marriage unlikely. Right now, I'm thinking about doing it with one of these two retards since I haven't had sex since August.
>>34423752pretty pathetic
>>34423762How so?
>>34423752Go ahead and have sex with these dating app retards. It will be fun to use them. At least you arent pulling a burning human heart out of the back of your head like your picrel, that sounds painful
>>34423809Yes that would probably be rather painful.
>>34423752Don't post Augustine if you refuse to read him. Just read Augustine. This is your advice.
>>34423752Pretty based
>>34423919Even Augustine get laid more than me.
>>34423919I read the Confessions and I am currently reading the City of God. Why do you think I have not read him?
>>34424752NTA, but if you did read him then you didn't absorb his message. Pleasure and entertainment are fleeting and empty. He regretted all of the time he spent on those frivolous wastes of time. They don't lead to a good life, to happiness, or to any kind of fulfillment whatsoever, so why chase them?If you can, convince yourself how worthless those activities are and spend your time on something better. If you can't, then you'll end up indulging until you get sick of it and have nothing to look back on other than regret. It's like eating until you vomit. It's better not to find out the hard way that excess leads to sickness, but you will find out one way or the other.
>>34424772How can you regret if you've never had it in the first place?
>>34424923I said that if you do it you will regret it later. It would be better to skip past the regret and simply realize that it's a vain pursuit before doing it, thus avoiding the regret while still learning the lesson. It's better to learn through study and introspection than through regret and error. You'll learn either way, but one is more painful than the other.
>>34424772If we're doing the food analogy, I think it's more akin to a man that overate to excess until he was vomiting telling a starving man that actually food is overrated and you should find something else. That's the issue here and why this doesn't land.
>>34425274It does land, provided it's understood that "food" in this case is not a necessity in any way and that no one can possibly "starve". So really, if the analogy were perfect, it would be a man who ate excessively until he made himself sick, realized that "food" is actually harmful and unnecessary, then renounced it and lived happily for the rest of his days. The person he's giving advice to is a man who thinks he's starving and is about to gorge himself until he also makes himself sick, because he doesn't yet realize that hunger is just an illusion. He'd save himself a lot of pain and effort if he simply listened to the man who already went through the trouble and saw that it wasn't worth it, but some people only learn through bumps on the head.
>>34424772>Pleasure and entertainment are fleeting and empty.Sounds like buddhism. It's all life denial loser shit.
>>34425404being a worthless gooner is life denial loser shit. people who live for something more than jerking their dick are actually living.
