I want a job. I've explored some paths I can specialize in to maximize employment opportunities. So far, I might be interested in web dev, cybersecurity, and game dev. I've just been reading up on what I can for these fields and sticking to whatever might come up first.I like working with people and socializing. But I don't like being treated like shit, I had to deal with customer service at my last retail job. I've developed the patience of a saint and helping people IS rewarding but I'd rather not go through that (for too long anyways). I also like long-term stability and peace. Which would you choose and why?
Computer science is a dead meme due to ai. Go electrical or mechanical engineering

>>34426771the kind of CS students who aren't on 4chan asking to be spoonfed a life plan
this anon >>34426753 is retarded, but his advice is probably good, if you feel the need to ask "what do i do with my life"if that makes senseif you're dead set on CS for some reason, even though you're unsure, cybersecurity would probably give you the most job security by a significant amount
>>34426753I agree with this. I managed to get a job but it’s not even coding and all my coworkers are double E majors
>>34426786the reason why I ask is because I've obviously never worked in any of these industries. They might look interesting on the surface but a lot of cybersec roles is just reading logs for example and that might be too boring for me. so im for input from someone thats worked any of these roles to see what its like

i didn't mention webdev because it's the one i know the least about, but it might be goodi have the impression it's pretty saturated though

>>34426718>What Complete Sucker path should i take?Anon, just put the fries in the bag if you are asking stupid questions like that.
>>34426718Web dev has the most long term stability because everyone will always need business software for various tasks and the web is the primary way of delivering such services.Cybersecurity is increasing in demand, but I feel like that’s a role that you transition into gradually. You are unlikely to find a cybersecurity role directly out of college. From what I hear, game dev is the worst because the job market there is more saturated and because game development always revolves around seasonal deadlines.
