I've been living for two years now with my gf who has recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I always knew she was bipolar from the moment I met her (it's obvious, only she couldn't see it) however my love for her prevailed and we want to spend our whole lives together.

Our sex life is amazing, no complaints at all. I'm a horny fuck and it seems like she's even hornier than I am. We never go more than 2 days without fucking. My relationship with my ex was such a dead bedroom from the start that my current gf is just a breath of fresh of air.

The problems we face is the classic BPD girl problems, most of the time we're happy and she's happy with me, talks about how she can't want until we get married and how I'm the love of her life and out of the blue she'll flip and start cursing at me, calling me all kinds of names, threatening to leave me (she's never actually left me or even left the house for more than 5 minutes during these fights; worst case scenario she packs her stuff, leaves and comes back 3 minutes later with an angry face and sits on the couch so she can watch Netflix). Our fights can get pretty ugly for the prettiest of reasons and it's always been like that. There are times where she screams and screeches like a lunatic, scratches my arm so hard she leaves scars and so on.

I never know what to do when she's in her manic state, my approach to fighting and disagreement is to try and talk it out and attempt to logically reach a solution for the problem but that has never worked on her at all.

When she is in her manic state there were times where I would straight out just ask what was the problem and what was bothering her and she would first call me stupid for not knowing, say that it was obvious and then minutes later she'd state that even she didn't know what the problem was and she's just angry for no reason.

I don't know, I just want some advice I guess.

>diagnosed with bipolar
>classic BPD problems
Bipolar Disorder and BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) aren't the same thing at all. So which is she?

English is not my first language, she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Make sure she takes her lithium.

You are not compatible with her and she should be with someone who makes her happy. She won't have these episodes with the right person.

OP got a little entangled in his fantasy, it seems.

>she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
And yet you're describing BPD symptoms. I'm calling bullshit.

You might have thought it was obvious, but you may not be viewing the disorder accurately. Bipolar 1 and 2 don't have switch ups of mood every 5 minutes, for bipolar 1 the shifting happens in monthly - bimonthly cycles typically. And for type 2 it's weekly or bi-weekly. Shifting from manic euphoric high to melancholic depressive low.

If your girl is doing these switch ups every few minutes I'd be questioning the Bipolar diagnosis, that shit doesn't sound bipolar.

Type 1 bipolar here, with lots of bipolars in the family. Her diagnosis is wrong, or her story of her diagnosis is wrong. What you've described sound more like Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) symptoms, and very much *not* Bipolar symptoms. Bipolar mood shifts happen at most every 4-5 days (that's a non-optional part of the diagnostic criteria). Lots of disorders cause mood shifts, but bipolar is distinguished by having mood shifts that are stable and long-lasting; bipolars get depressed and stay depressed for days/weeks, they flip manic and stay manic for days/weeks.
