How do I leave California? I want to move to a different US state.I’m pushing 30 and still living with my parents, and I honestly have no idea how to get out of this situation. It was already hard enough finding a job in California, so I don’t know how I’m supposed to find a job in another state.Every time I ask AI about moving, it tells me the cheapest rent I’ll find is around $1,000 a month, which pretty much rules out minimum wage jobs. The whole situation feels impossible. I'm not desperate enough to live in my car though.
Try NYC

Get a laywer to sell your house
You need 20,000d a month to rent in the city I think.
You need to learn to work. I don't know if I can tell you how to do it here. Cleaning is work * (dont tell anyone bad or nonwhite)
Cleaning clean is work. There are 2 types of cleaning Organizing and Tidying. There are more but we cant talk about them.
Cleaning is work. And work is cleaning. *
>>34431224What work do you do and do your parents charge you rent or are you able to save? Regardless, the answer to moving out of state or out of your parents house is to be a roommate. You can check sites like furnished finer or roomies and see if you can rent a room for cheap in areas you want to live, but of course find a job in the area you want to move to first. Many people here in socal (myself included) rent out a spare bedroom for $800 to $1200 a month so that should be doable. what is your monthly income and expenses as of now?
>>34431323>What work do you doI work in finance but I'm more like an assistant that does all the grunt work. I also have a worthless degree in IT. You're probably right that I need to find a roommate but I wouldn't even know where to begin on doing that. Maybe I should be trying to get in as tech support in a school or something because that kind of job would let me move anywhere.
>>344312241. Don't ask AI to do this for you, do your own research. AI can answer basic questions, but sometimes gets that wrong and this is a complicated question. /adv/ isn't much better really, but I'll try to help you. $1,000 a month is $250 weekly at is absolutely on the low side. 2. The answer to your question boils down to have $$$. You need money to go anywhere in the US. Use the job you have or continue working it while you also look for a higher paying job or take a 2nd job.3. Cities have higher rent, try country or suburbs, it's also helpful if you can work from home to cut gas costs.4. Sell crap you don't need.5. Take out a CD at your bank if you have some money saved up that you won't be touching for higher interest rates.6. Read up on different states from people who live in those states. Unironically state Reddits who are talking about housing info.7. School might help you land a better job, but then you have loan issues.8. Moving stuff with you also costs more, so bring just yourself and whatever you can fit in your car.9. Once you've located an area, drive there or sell your car and fly. Of course if you sell your car you're paying shipping costs instead for your stuff.Do you rent to your parents or pay for food there? Living at home allows you to save up. I did pretty good at 10% of my paycheck into savings. Why do you want to leave CA? Is it just jobs being hard to come by? That's everywhere. If it's political or cultural you can rule out other liberal states in your search.
>>34431434Utilize your IT degree. You won't get to use it if you don't keep applying. Even if it's not a perfect fit to your degree if you can fake it a little, it'll help you make more. Tech jobs still pay, and most managers don't know how their tech works anyway so you can sometimes get away with doing fuck all after you establish yourself a bit.
>>34431434Ok that is a good start, do you own your own car? if not I suggest selling and getting a cheap EV like a nissan leaf so that you dont have to worry about gas. Do what >>34431440 said and cut down on stuff you dont need so that you can pack everything you own into your car to move to where you want to live, dont get a moving truck.
>>34431440>>34431449>>34431461So basically I have to save money and look for a job. I suppose deep down I already knew this was the bottom line of what I have to do. I'm very close to paying off my student loans so I guess I'll finally be saving money for the first time in my life and I can make a plan for something like that. Honestly I'm probably best off just staying in LA and saving up but I really can't stand living with my parents anymore.>do you own your own caryes
>>34431224Stay put. You belong in California
>>34431224gawd...Have you looked for a damn roommate?
>>34431224Dude. You can get a job anywhere in the country making $20 doing all sorts of different shit. If you don't know that, it's because you're looking in the wrong places
>>34431224What’s wrong with California, you piece of shit?
5000d a month is baseأحتاج إلى جنة بيضاء
>>34431662Yeah, as soon as your student loans are paid off you'll have money and money brings freedom. Also, build credit. Get a credit card and buy things in credit, but never buy more with credit than you have in cash. Pay off your credit card before the bill is due so that you don't accumulate interest and have to pay more. Having good credit will help you for when you want to move. What's wrong with living with your parents still? Do you not get along with them?
>>34431224Greyhound?
Go on soc to the adopt a neet threads and see if anyone will let you stay.Like meYou wanna come live with me in the midwest?
>>34431662Hey,Also living with my parents in my 30s. I understand entirely what you're going through. I work from home too which means I never get a moment to myself. Moving out is really easy once you've done it before. It WILL eat up most of your income though. The question you have to ask is would you prefer to tough it out another few years or is it so I bearable you need to leave. If you want to rent there are plenty of house share websites and Facebook groups that would get you into a pre-existing house if multiple occupancy and would be more affordable than renting alone. Not sure if they have spare room.com in the USA? If you must live alone there is good advise on here to start the process. Search some rental websites and start speaking with letting agents. If you want to buy you need to build credit and a deposit. Credit card you pay off with regular debit good for this, also can take out an overdraft you don't use, making regular payments into a savings account will also build this.If you want to build a deposit the first step is to open a bank account with a decent interest rate. Depending on the country you live in there can often be government backed accounts that will yield massive I treat. In the UK we have Lisa's which bring a 25% annual bonus but you can only use them for a house. It would be worth shopping around various banks and seeing what products they offer. If you can somehow get on the property ladder it is going to be far more affordable long term for you.
>>34434663Hahahahahahahaaaa absolutely terrifying. Imagining this situation is so hilariously uncomfortable.
