hi, I attended a class this morning and this thing is bothering me. Our class has a projector with the people who attend the class from home for a multitude of reasons. We all help them with what the profs are doing and teaching. when the prof was taking attendance I sent in a <black thumbs up> accidentally and he asked immediately why i sent it with a disgusted face. Ofcourse i said it was a mistake and he did a "yeah sure" with a sigh. I am not a racist person and dont engage in convos with people who say the n words like nigga and niggers. Can someone tell me what should I do? because if i discuss it with him he will remember it more explicitly and if dont do anything there are chances that he will have an impression that I am racist? I am absolutely not a racist girl and even have a lot of black, asian, and jewish friends.
>>34431479Who gives a shit? You sent a black thumbs up emoji, boo hoo. That's not racism, anon. Your professor overreacted, and you're overthinking it.
>>34431479Tell him: I identify as black
>>34431479>am not a racist person and dont engage in convos with people who say the n words like nigga and niggersYes. I don't say nigger either. I wouldn't even type nigger online. Nigger is so offensive that i don't even think it.
>>34431548Yeah but transracial thing doesn't exist. I am too pale to even consider being black.
>>34431559your comment has been dismissed. I don't type "nigger" either. Not in any way that reinforces its meaning and causes any damage to other people's sense of their own worth.
>>34431571>Yeah but transracial thing doesn't existOf course it exists, look at /pol/ and how many brown people identify themselves as white. Why can't you do the same? They can't say you're wrong, though, it's all about feelings, lol
Who cares. You're falling victim to the same racial victim mindset he is. You don't owe him shit and he doesn't owe you shit based on race. If he's choosing to take offense over a color of an emoji that's his choice. The fact you have to bring up you have non white friends as a defence shows you also believe racism is real. It's not. Just drop it. Racism is only pattern recognition mixed with psychology survival instincts. It isn't some "unjust" "evil" thing, and it doesn't exist in the form retards who don't understand it would prefer it to.If we were all truly, equally human this would never be an issue, but you were both exposed to the current social climate so now a fucking emoji is considered "offensive," and you're also buying into it. You have to learn to walk away from stupid people and their stupid emotions. You can never reconcile anything with someone living in a different reality. You see this all the time with liberals and the blm bullshit, because it's not about anything you did, it's how it's perceived. And it's a lose lose, because if you give them an inch they take a fucking mile. Just move on like nothing happened, because it basically didn't. We live in this society that only encourages people to take from each other. Just don't engage with people who see the world in that way. In his emotion, he is trying to take from you, whether he realizes it or not. Do not concede to the deluded.
>>34431646man this is very well said. well done! thanks for this. I will actually use this in my next essay in fact if ever racism stuff comes up i do strongly agree with >If we were all truly, equally human this would never be an issue, but you were both exposed to the current social climate
>>34431606i mean yeah i wont trample over their stuff so they stay away from me but I also wont really hold back my opinions that transracial is extremely delusional. Being brown and identifying as white if you are clearly genetically brown is so screaming mental illness. How about I fight for my shoes identification to be a rocket and demand nasa to let me use their launchpads?
Life moves on. I'm sure it wasn't all that bad. Even if it was I'm sure it's something easy to get back up from.
