How do people find good jobs they like?

I've never had a good job that made me happy. I'm 37, never had a job that paid more than $40K a year. Worked hard for multiple employers who basically kept me in my position because it was convenient for them and treated me like shit because I didn't want to be in that situation, or even sabotaged and threatened me for making efforts. I had an employer threaten to fire me for trying to go back to school to get CompTIA certifications, and then called me a communist for wanting to know how I can advance into higher positions, instead of wanting to run an injection molder in perpetuity. I know now that I'm a bad person for being ambitious. I'm an NPC, subhuman basically so I can't want for more than I am allowed to have.

It may be too late for me to get any kind of success, that's why I have a plan to kill myself on my 40th Birthday unless things get better. If I'm still poor in my old age, I'll likely be homeless so it's best to end it before I really become a burden.

I am recently unemployed and the only jobs that call back are 1099 "Commission" jobs. I'm gonna have to take even lower pay than I was making to have a job. I can't walk so that basically destroys any job prospects.

are you retarded?

your bosses threaten you because it's more convenient for them if you just work the injection molding machine
you're not bad for having ambition & you need to learn to ignore those retards when they threaten you, especially if they're standing between you and something you want in life
you're allowed to want anything, you just need to learn how to navigate & deal with bureaucrats & parasites

if you're meditating on death you're gonna end up killing yourself
in truth, you have no idea what your life is gonna be liek in 3 years, nobody does, and there are plenty of drastic options to try besides suicide
you're just resigned to suicide
but that contradicts you asking for advice

u can find a support network of some kind to avoid homelessness, that's what most old people do anyway

at your age you could try a trade
there won't be any faggots telling you you're not allowed to be ambitious
pay is generally good, work is straightforward, etc
you could make a life for yourself from a trade, if it sounds appealing

Not too many trades out there for someone in a chair. I've gone into interviews where they end it right away because they see me rolling in. They can't reasonably accommodate.

The shitty thing is, I can't get disability because I've proven to the state that I can work, even if it's for low pay. But hey, someone who gets migraines can get it first try though.

sorry, i somehow missed the end of your post
that is a more frustrating situation but i wouldn't say it's hopeless

yeah the system is fucked

will post if i can think of anything

still idk, there might be trades if you really wanted to push for it
i'm thinking maybe carpentry or something
you could possibly get some certifications or something, as long as you could be useful i feel like it would be possible, and the other guys would probably respect you for doing it from a chair (depending on the place i guess)

will try to think of other things though
>>
>certifications
i don't really know how it works, but people have told me to find unions & look for apprenticeships
i think apprenticeships was the word i was looking for, not "certifications"
>>

I dunno if I can do an apprenticeship unless it's paid. I'll keep my eye out for some.

I have been putting in applications, hoping for some sit down office position but I am in a rural area, most jobs are in factories and even entry level office positions don't pop up all that often.

When I got my CompTIA certifications, that was a bust since nobody in my area knew what they were, instead often needing a degree in computer science to get a help desk position.

i'm in a similar area, mostly prison work and farming and warehouses and factories
still, i hope the rural area ur in is a nice one atleast, some are like crime-ridden ghost towns while others are decent homely communities
if you can find some weird little place in town to work in the meantime, it might help you meet reliable people who don't treat you like shit, and might be a way to support yourself a bit

They have done both to me before. This is a company with three managers that told me to my face that I was too stupid to work in the office, that my place was running a molder and I needed to accept it.
>>
OP here,

I got a call about a job, but it's from the place I quit in 2021 due to abuse. They did offer me a higher paid office position than before, $17 vs $12 an hour with good benefits, but I do not trust them to not pull the rug out from under me, I guarantee they will do one of two things

>I accept the job, and they do the old switcheroo and tell me I would need to work production until the position opened up

>They set me up for failure and they move me to production.

They have done both to me before. This is a company with three managers that told me to my face that I was too stupid to work in the office, that my place was running a molder and I needed to accept it.

take the job and sabotage the company slowly and unoticeable from within At least then your life will have purpose,
