How do people find good jobs they like? I've never had a good job that made me happy. I'm 37, never had a job that paid more than $40K a year. Worked hard for multiple employers who basically kept me in my position because it was convenient for them and treated me like shit because I didn't want to be in that situation, or even sabotaged and threatened me for making efforts. I had an employer threaten to fire me for trying to go back to school to get CompTIA certifications, and then called me a communist for wanting to know how I can advance into higher positions, instead of wanting to run an injection molder in perpetuity. I know now that I'm a bad person for being ambitious. I'm an NPC, subhuman basically so I can't want for more than I am allowed to have. It may be too late for me to get any kind of success, that's why I have a plan to kill myself on my 40th Birthday unless things get better. If I'm still poor in my old age, I'll likely be homeless so it's best to end it before I really become a burden. I am recently unemployed and the only jobs that call back are 1099 "Commission" jobs. I'm gonna have to take even lower pay than I was making to have a job. I can't walk so that basically destroys any job prospects.

The shitty thing is, I can't get disability because I've proven to the state that I can work, even if it's for low pay. But hey, someone who gets migraines can get it first try though.

OP here,I got a call about a job, but it's from the place I quit in 2021 due to abuse. They did offer me a higher paid office position than before, $17 vs $12 an hour with good benefits, but I do not trust them to not pull the rug out from under me, I guarantee they will do one of two things>I accept the job, and they do the old switcheroo and tell me I would need to work production until the position opened up>They set me up for failure and they move me to production. They have done both to me before.
