Every day I feel like I lack the energy I need to succeed in my creative pursuits after work.I can drag myself to my desk but there's no "juice" left in my head. All I can do is a few "warmup" paintings and by then I've completely lost my steam. My current solution is to do all the hard stuff during the weekends (layouts, plans, designs) and leave the actual easy stuff like rendering and lineart for weekdays... But then I finish the latter, and I'm back to square-one.I can't wake up early before work because I suck at getting up and my job starts at 6AM anyway.I can't have caffeine after work because that messes with my sleep.Need advice here, it's already April and I've finished so much less than I'd hoped to...
Become religious or join a way of thought that gives you ego so you feel unstoppable and inspired.
hey anon, I have the same problem. One thing ive found to help is to somedays just rest and do nothing after work, just srsly go enjoy the sun, take a cold drink, I think your mind wants to rest, forcing it to work when tired wont help.
do you have any deadlines or responsibilities to your patrons or are you just forcing yourself to create?in my experience with creative endeavors it's 20% inspiration/secret sauce and 80% doing the workfor the inspiration part idk how to make lightning strike for you but you can brute force 80-90% of any project just by dragging yourself to your desk and putting in the time
that's why the arts are an aristocratic pursuit. Wagies get their sanity, time and creativity robbed by working. You are just here to toil and enable a carefree life for your feudal lord
>>34449197Use that "creativity" to find a way out. Otherwise you don't actually have something that needs to be said or done or "created", you're just egoslopping frauding and the fields are better off without youThat being said, the aristocratic are too spoilt to make any good shit
>>34449754>creative works are only worth the money they makethanks for the advice you fucking piggot any courses to sell too? eat shit
>>34450899Retard with absolutely no reading comprehensionI was implying the opposite, that you should make creative works for free because you actually want to, and not for commercial purposes
>>34451016And my point was that if "working" stops you from "creating" then you never had something worth creating in the first place. If you did you'd find a way to minimise/stomach working as it is simply a means to your end which is "creating".
