I've (21M) realized that I can't continue to be a lazy bum for the rest of my life. I've been constantly procrastinating for the past five years and it's done great damage to my mental health.

My average day goes like this:
>wake up at 11am
>scroll on TikTok for ~1h
>get up and immediately get on my PC
>browse 4chan, twitter, YouTube
>go to school
>once back home, I watch some more YouTube and go to sleep
I'm only taking two classes this year because I failed them last year doe, so i mostly do nothing during the evening. Should get the degree next year if everything goes right, should easily get an ok job with it too.

So, here's a short summary of how my life's going:
>No drivers license
>Don't know how to cook
>No dreams or motivations in life
>Never had a job
>Never had a girlfriend (don't care too much about this tho, I'm a virgin but not full KHHVcel)

Not everything's bad tho;
>I have a very supportive family who's also economically stable and will support me in everything they can.

>I'm not anti social either, I have two groups of friends that I meet up with from time to time and enjoy their company

I've already started taking some actions:
>Even tho I wasn't addicted, I stopped watching porn and masturbating. Maybe it'll help me be less shy around women and man up a bit.

>Bought more appropriate clothes for my age and have been taking more frequent and better haircuts

>My friend lent me a book about self improvement. It's not too long, I'll start reading it tomorrow.

If any of you have any suggestions that could help me, I would be very grateful to hear them.

If you're 21 and in school then you're doing something productive already, getting an education.

If you feel like pushing yourself more, getting a part-time job (e.g. barista in the morning at a cafe somewhere would work well with your afternoon study schedule).

Also fitness is huge, if you have something you like to do. I always liked swimming, and was an idiot to stop doing it when I was in higher education. If I'd kept at it, I'd have felt, thought, and been much better all round into my mid twenties.

Towards the end of studies, if your institution offers any kind of help finding a job, take them up on it for as much as you possibly can. Getting and maintaining a job is huge if you can do it.

At least you're in school

Sorry for the late reply, I posted this right before going to sleep lol

I know, I just have a lot of free time and my grades haven't been all that good I guess. That's 100% my fault tho

>If you feel like pushing yourself more, getting a part-time job (e.g. barista
Oh no no no those jobs aren't for me lol.
I'll sign up for driving school instead, I really need the drivers license already and my parents have been pushing me to do so for a while. I'll study in the morning and try to pass the written test (or wtv it's called) asap.

I'll get a job for the summer tho, if I can't find anything that isn't related to restaurants, bars or cafeterias then I'll go help my father (he has his own business).

>Also fitness is huge
I'm not really into sports, but I would mind to the gym I guess.
I used to go a couple years ago with a friend and it helped me with my posture (my back is a bit curved due to spending so much time on the computer).
A lot of people complimented me too, I guess I have good genetics but I ain't making use of them lol.

Is it really worth it though? My parents keep saying that I should go, my friend too, but when I ask why their only argument is that "it'll help me get girls"...

>if your institution offers any kind of help finding a job, take them up on it for as much as you possibly can.
They do and I was planning on doing that actually. I've done one internship at the local town hall, and next month I gotta go to a different one.
We are obligated to do these internships to get the degree, so it's not like I can just refuse to do them. Ain't complaining tho, it's good to fill out the resume a little bit.

Next year I plan on going to a proper company if possible, and with a bit of luck I might get hired by them. A lot of people from my school actually got their first job this ways

Working on that, it's just very hard to get up and do stuff after so many years of being lazy.

Not enough, and as I said I already failed last year of school and my grades haven't been mid.
At least I'm not a full neet I guess but sometimes I feel like I am.

I've never worked in my life and get median income from my mom sending me money. I'm 30. Imagine paying taxes for females and minorities.

If there's a form of exercise you enjoy, do that. If not, I'm less sure. The benefits are huge, mostly to wellbeing, energy levels, and positivity. Sure, downstream it helps with stuff like 'get girls', but the effects are deeper than that. Also, it's far easier to maintain fitness than it is to restore it. I became a fat blob (relatively) while studying, and until I clawed it back it felt like 'lost years'. Do not recommend.

If your mother is okay with that and is a rich cunt then good for you. But that money has to come from somewhere, and better if you know exactly how. Especially since your mome won't be around one day
