For some people yes, but not most people.
I know I'm not
it's a process not an end state

>>34450435There is not a single human emotion that lasts forever. Every single one of them as their expiry date, every single one. Some have longer durations others have shorter, and those that are short can be lengthened and those that are long can be shortened. The two feelings that have the longest duration that I can think of:>Fulfillment >Emptiness And the reason for that is because those two heavily depend on the willpower (or lack thereof) & the environment of the human. For example, if someone is exercising their power of will, they will consistently make efforts towards building a fulfilling future constantly. The same way a farmer plants seeds, waters crops, and yields the harvest each and every season. That person will make actions not for himself today, but for himself tomorrow. Which means fulfillment is mostly going to be a feeling that stays around.Someone who does not plant seeds (choose their own thoughts), does not water their crops (actualize those thoughts through efforts or trying), will not yield any harvest (having their life improve). They starve and feel hungry, what is known as feeling "empty".And if you ask a famished man to toil and work on his own life, his own plot of land, he will feel he cannot. Because empty people have little mental vitality left in the tank to get that done.Which is why it is absolutely vital to ask for help at this point.
>>34451208>ContAnd it is very important to have boundaries and cultivate at least self respect during this stage of helplessness or emptiness. Because there are those who, if they see someone feeling empty, they will project the idea that they are lazy or pathetic or deserving of their fate, they will hate, mock, or abuse that person. There are also those who prey on the empty, people with false-saviour complexes, people possessed by pride who will try to fill that empty person's soul for them.. with themselves. So as to have an emotional puppet for their own whims. Those types are the most dangerous of all. The goal should be that the empty man should be fulfilled with his own spirit, and not those of others. Those who actually want to see the empty man fulfilled are those who will refuse him a fish, but instead hand him the fishing rod. So that he can be successful using his own willpower and never has to face emptiness ever again.
>>34450435It's a rare quality, because it requires turning away from the world and focusing on inward change. Not many are willing to do that, apart from ascetics and monks.
>>34450435You're not supposed to be happy. What stupid goal is that?
happiness and fulfillment are transitory states, only a lobotomized person could be mostly happy
