I have tried everything under the sun to help myself cope with anxiety. Nothing I do seems to help and I've been rotting for five years trying to figure out what's wrong with me. What can I say to myself or do that will make me go out and make something out of my life? It's just anxiety that has bothered me for my whole life.

Have you tried journaling?

Realize that safety is an illusion, there are forces you cannot control so it makes no sense to worry about it, and no matter how hard and carefully you try to control anything around you, shit happens. And even if shit does happen, so what? Keep going and try to make the most of things.
Just chill bro, don't sweat it. Now go touch grass.

I would not be able to write anything because I have nothing to write about

You're not writting down a novel. You're instead just recording your thoughts on paper. It is done as a way to help you deal with overwhelming stress. I text to myself a lot when I feel overwhelmed.

I second this. Keeping a diary of my thoughts is very helpful, as is going back over and reading it
