I have posted about this before but I'm still obsessed. Do you think it is possible to regain one’s innocence? Especially after viewing porn or having sex. I just want to forget all of it.
>>34456361>Do you think it is possible to regain one’s innocence? The flaw in your obsession is thinking that innocence was ever broken. As long as you abstain, and truly resent it. You are innocent.
>>34456361I think that, as one lives and gets to witness all sorts of things, good and bad, they'll inevitably lose part of their innocence. It is not necessarily that bad, becoming aware of things is part of growing up in a way, but of course that doesn't mean one should go out of their way to dive into wicked stuff. It just sort of happens with time. And I don't think we can really just forget about it; at most we can steel ourselves against it and not let it get in our head too much. But I guess one way to mitigate further diving into it is just to avoid places and things that are more likely to feature that kind of stuff, like this very website, and instead do other things with your free time.
>>34456366But I also agree with this anon here. If you don't partake on wickedness and you disapprove of it, you are innocent.
>>34456361lolwhat is seen cannot be unseenyou can lie to you and try to trick you into forgettingbut it'll always be therespecially if its normal biological stuff like sexyou can ruin your mind and try strong stuff but you'll end up worse for little to no result
>>34456366that's not what innocence means at alleven if you become a voluntary at a shelter, if you've seen what humans are capable of during war, that innocence is lost, there's no going backinnocence is a one way street
>>34456361You're mentally disabled. No, you are not a 5 year old and you shouldn't try to be.Are you christian? Do all christians want to act like they are underage?
>>34456361You can't be virtuous without the knowledge of vice. Innocence can only come from having the freedom to choose evil, while choosing only good. A child isn't innocent or morally upright, just incapable.
>>34456389You're confusing innocence for ignorance. Knowledge is a one way street, but more knowledge is always a good thing. Even knowledge of evil merely teaches you to be more compassionate and caring. You can't get your ignorance back, but you can always strive towards perfect gentleness and love for all life. That's what it means to be innocent.
>>34456361You never had innocence in the first place. Nothing was lost. Only naivete. Although you're still naive. You can only be innocent when there is both innocent and guilty to define the thresholds of what is innocent and what is guilty. Your definition of guilty is flawed, hence your definition of innocent is also flawed, by association. Hence you operate on false premises.
