Help me make sense of my ex's actions >be together 2 years >she was 18 when we start dating I was 22>she was bullied hard throughout school, never had friends, never received any romantic attraction before me, low self esteem, so she told me that being with me was the best thing that ever happened to her>the relationship is amazing, constantly doing new things together, having new experiences and get on great together >we agree to move in together so start looking for apartments together >also start seriously discussing having children down the line>we're both very excited for the future >a week into looking for apartments she gets a new job at a large company >2 weeks into the new job she gets oddly distant with me, give me short replies, gives excuses not to call eachother after work>a week after this she dumps me despite all our plans and apparently great relationship>when I ask her why she wants to break up she can't give any other reason besides "I just don't want to be in a relationship right now">feel devastated because I'm not even sure what I've done wrong Can any anons here try to help me understand why she did what she did, especially when we were so close to moving in together (something we had both wanted for a long time)
>>34456781Got the ick. Monkey branched.
>>34456781She's fucking one of her coworkers, or trying to get him to fuck her and thinks she has a good chance of success.
>>34456781She met new prospects at her new job. She realized if she was in a relationship with you, she can't fuck the ten hot, older, successful men that all flirt with the new girl at work. You didn't do anything. She just wants to fuck Chad and probably enjoys being the center of attention as the new young girl at her workplace.
>>34456781Who knows man. Bitches are retarded. That being said it could be that she has started to receive some amount of attention from a male coworker like other anons have suggested, even if it's just perceived attention and he actually doesn't give a fuck about her. Women like your ex (low self esteem, etc) are often quite desperate for male validation, and since she has already been validated by you, she's probably looking to get it from someone else now. Don't beat yourself up about it. Your life has genuinely improved as you are now in a position to find a woman that is on the same page as you and won't instantly drop you for a crumb of attention.
Lmfao.
>>34456781>-with youit means that
>>34456781A hot guy flirted with her at work. After getting used, she will inevitably crawl back to you in tears, be strong and reject her.
>>34456781she met Chad at her new job and decided his dick is better than yours. Bitches be like that, don't worry about it. Every GF you will ever have will end the same way.t.35
As everyone had already saidThat's why you don't go for low self esteem typesCuz they eventually get confident/cocky and think they can do betterTheir "love" is cheap shit and they're more in love with validation from anyone of the opposite gender rather than specifically you I.e. whore starved of attention
>>34456926what does that make the ones with high self esteem? used up goods?
>>34456781she did what she did because she's immature and retarded, i don't know what you expected from an 18 year oldyou're holding her to the standards of someone with a developed frontal lobe. move on and stop being a fag
She's working in a corporate job. She sees men more attractive than you wearing nicer clothes than you and living a better life than you. She wants that. That's extremely common for women. You are not as good so you are dropped. It is very easy to understand. Women are opportunists when it comes to dating and mating. It's rare to find one that isn't, especially these days. I'm willing to bet she's feeling sweet toward her boss or something and is planning to fuck them. She wants to break up with you so it isn't technically cheating so she won't have a bad reputation to haunt her. That doesn't mean it's acceptable behavior, however. Best thing to do is move on. You cannot win her back and you shouldn't. Actions speak louder than words and her actions say that she thinks you are lesser and doesn't want to waste her time with you. She isn't a good partner and never will be. Move on. Sorry that happened. It's a tough pill to swallow.
>>34456781It's a long shot but maybe she just doesn't want to be in a relationship right now.
>>34456781>Can any anons here try to help me understand why she did what she didShe was much less happy than you thought she was. For a long time she tried to tell herself it was working, because she didn't know how she was supposed to be feeling, and/or didn't think she could do any better. But in the end she had to face the fact that she hadn't been happy with you for a long time, and left. There's no mystery here.
>>34456781She outgrew you: she grew up, and you didn't.
knowing OP's story, how does one go about making sure a girl is attached to you but doesn't get cocky or confident enough to ditch you after all that effort you put in her?i know bullying destroys self esteem, what else
>>34456781realistically, whether there is a guy or not at work she most certainly fell into a group of single girls there and has acess to a new social life that she didnt have before you. If she is with you she wont be able to go out with her new single friends and live the social life that she missed out on, and yes, meet new men. of course there is no reason for her to break up with you over that but I guarantee its mostly likely that reason as opposed to a male coworker.
>>34456781She got a new peer group at work and you don't measure up to them, so she dumped you. Sucks, but that's how women work, especially modern women. It's going to take a lot of willpower but the most important thing you can do is move on quickly and never take her back. Something similar (although not quite as heinous) happened to me after a 5 year relationship and it took me years to get over it because I couldn't understand why she left me. Your gf fell out of love with you because she saw something she wanted more than you, she doesn't value what you have to offer. She's just not the right one after all. Cut contact, go make more friends, and when you're ready, find a better girl. Your ex very likely might come back begging to get back together. Do not under any circumstances accept her back. This is the one chance you have to make her feel the consequences of her actions. Make it count. You've seen her true colors, you'll never be able to trust her again.
>>34456781At least she didn't drag you along before breaking up.But if she does try to crawl back to you, reject her immediately. She's not gonna be the same.
>>34456847>She's fucking one of her coworkers, or trying to get him to fuck her and thinks she has a good chance of success.>>34456797>Got the ick. >>34456991Potentially, yes. But it's on a case-by-case basis. So while yes, that is likely, there'll be exceptions if you're lucky.
