How do I make myself get out of bed before I absolutely have to on a week day?

Sleep earlier so you can get your 8 hours. Don't drink before sleeping. Exercise during the day so your tired at night. Then set your alarm or just your internal clock to even earlier than you need to wake up, so you can sleep in or jack off until it's time for you to actually get up. Eventually it becomes a habit. I sleep between 8-10pm. I wake up at 4:00 am. On weekends, I sleep in til 6:00 am.

Get bright smart-bulbs and have them all switch on at full brightness at the time you need to get up. Leave your phone downstairs so you can't just reach for it and turn them off. Make sure you're using several different lamps as well as the overhead lights, so you can't turn them all off from one switch. Have the lights go on all over the house, not just in your room. If you can afford it, have something installed that will open the curtains/drapes or blinds/shades automatically as well (if you're getting up in daylight).

You need a reason to get up, something that you are devoted to that you have a real interest in. That could be your job, or it could be your future career prospects if you are in school. It could be the friends you see every day. Otherwise, what’s the point of getting up?
