Tech market for entry level is honestly really bad, applied to so many jobs but not getting a single offer. I’m considering looking into other career paths. Is trade school genuinely worth it? If so which one has the lowest “training time”? I’m also in Florida, but can go to Pennsylvania if there’s an industry that’s better for either state.
When everyone goes to trades; there will be no trades
>>34464756Yeah, that’s true. I just don’t know what to do.
>>34464771Try to get an apprenticeship asap before trades get jeeted too, self study on the side so you can either become a foreman or own your own business. A lot of vacancies will open up with the coming boomerpocalypse. If you're an apprentice, a lot of companies will just pay for you to go to trade school.
>>34464744Personally, if I had to work a trade it'd be:>Elevator mechanic>Aircraft mechanic>Fleet automotive mechanicI'd say electrician but apparently it's one of the lowest paying trades in Florida, though HVAC would probably be a good one considering the humidity and heat. Otherwise I'd go military which I did (go Air Force or Coast Guard)I'm also in Florida, currently working as a car mechanic but I'm in school for accounting. If I had to choose a different degree/career it'd be supply chain management.
>>34464744The path to a prodession does NOT start with applying for jobs. It starts years earlier, with networking, interning, summer jobs, etc.
