Every night I am haunted by the choices I made. It is getting very annoying. I have trouble sleeping because of the regrets. How do I cope with this?
>>34466728It depends on what type of decisions you had made.If you can fix it, try it. If not, i don't know, i don't have enough information. If it gets worse, you can always ask a psychologist.
Unmake them
>>34466728By understanding that regret is a pure waste of timeThere is absolutely zero benefit to regretting anything longer ago than today. Yes, you should take action now to avoid future regrets, but dwelling on past inaction will only ever pull you down further. Avoid negativity like the plague and when you cannot avoid it, see it for what it is: a temporary feeling
I am also like this, particularly of a lack of decisions, or rather every decision going wrong to the point of reclusionMy usual coping mechanisms of vidya and now anime have slowly stopped working>>34466872>regret is a pure waste of timeYeah but so is my life, and especially at night where I have nothing to do but wallow on my failures
>>34468023That just means that right now you feel bad every day. Look, I'm not saying that one good day would fix your life, but it would show you that your life isn't so bad. Your life is your today. Fix your today.
>>34466728Set yourself a time slot aside for emotional processing, preferably long before bedtime. Avoid using technology during this time slot because time spent on devices suppress your emotional awareness. Try writing in a journal, sorting clothes, or taking a walk. Try thinking about your daily activities then. Elaborate on how you feel about them. If you stay busy all day away from your emotions, your brain will just wait until night time to process them because putting your emotions off won't make them go away.
>>34468023Every failure is a lesson. There's no such thing as a failure that doesn't also point to a better way of doing things. If you can learn how to avoid the same pitfalls in the future, then you'll have nothing to regret and much to be thankful for. Rather than being sorry about what you did, be glad for what you learned.
>>34466728liars and cheaters deserve this torment btw.but that's just wishful thinking, they have no empathy or souls
>>34466728>How do I cope with this?Well for a start, think how bad you're gonna feel in 2036 and this is the best thing you have to look back on. Stop thinking about shit you can't change, unless you're got a time machine the first day you can do anything about is today.
>>34471666Cute vengeful fantasy to have there. But the evil people sleep very well at night.
