Is it normal to completely forget who you are?>family rambling about past stories, ones involving me i legitimately don't remember and feel like someone completly different>brushed it off at first but at a later counselling appointment, was asked about things like my values and I just had absolutely no answer. The part about family stories feeling like it was someone else entirely felt sorta surreal. Don't think it's dementia yet but who knows.

>>34468221Imho it's kinda normal to forget things if you're not actively trying to remember them. Remembering something requires you to relive your experiences. So if you don't relive them, you won't remember them. For example trying to remember where the bathrooms in your middle school were located. You'll need to first recall the days of middle school, then you'll need to recall the hallways, then relive yourself walking through those hallways to find the bathrooms.Your memories aren't gone, you may have not jogged them in a while though so you'll have to search for them again. Also if ur smoking weed, stop for a while bc memory loss is a huge significant symptom of overindulgence.
>>34472650I don't do weed thankfully. Was more the latter half worrying me where I was being asked about my self/values and just not having an answer at all worried me greatly.
