I started a new job. It's mostly guys and usually they're nicer/more tolerant of me being a sperg (I am unfortunately a woman). However, there's one other girl on the team and she's got a Regina George complex, really bitchy and talks shit about everyone but I guess because she's kinda pretty everyone thinks it's fine. She really hates me for some reason and has buddied up with my supervisor who was really nice to me but has startetd not being so nice to me. I asked him for paper towels and he called me bossy and he was serious, I am pretty self-aware and I know I'm not like that. The only thing I can think of where that came from is early on in the job (the girl is also very lazy) someone asked one of the 2 of us to spot someone backing out with a truck, I just simply asked "do you want to do it?" and she mocked me "do YOU want to do it?" so that's my only guess where I am "bossy" being came from. I don't really know what to do but it's really bumming me out because I liked this job and thought I could escape mean girl dynamics/social structures but alas, here I am. Should I just leave? I don't know how to avoid running into this issue over and over. My last job was all women and the mobbing was so bad I was very close to killing myself. I'm having the sunday scaries again.

Be excellent at your job. Interact with people you have to, be cordial with others. Don't bother to interact with this person unless you have to. Ignore her otherwise, if she starts getting on your case about that, go to HR and report any bullying. Only get another job if the pay is higher. Being professional and competent is an armor not everyone can posses. Wear that armor at work when dealing with people you don't like.

Seems like the previous job traumatized you and you're anxious and more guarded now. I feel you, that sucks when you're a sensitive person, that girl sounds like a cunt. People who bully others for no reason are often not that confident themselves, so don't be afraid of her. Try stonewalling(limited responses), be calm around her and report her if she starts bullying. Hold your composure, you can do it Anon. If it was toxic workplace I'd recommend changing the job, but when it's just one person poisoning it, stand your ground. People with bad character and work ethics get fired so don't let her sour your experience
