i want to make a discord server to have people to chat vidya with after work. theres a million servers like these but i want to specifically create an actual community where i can potentially make close friends and meet IRL. how hard would that be to achieve?
First actually try it. It costs nothing. How hard? It depends ons what you want. Do you want a small discord server or a huge one with like 2k plus people?
>>34473600i doubt you can actually make friends in a server that big. i just want a server where we all hang out in vc playing whatever game we care about while socializing
If you want IRL friends, go IRL. Or geographically bar your online community but I really don't know how you're gonna enforce that other than making your thing topic your game/interest + location. Still, you're not gonna get close friends from a game, unless your whole life is the game, in which well it really shouldn't be unless you're like some pro
>>34473679i live in a suburb. there is no IRL here. i live in a very car centric city where there is zero chance to make friends unless your hobby is getting drunk
>>34473569If you're a streamer or youtuber or some sort of influencer it's easier obviously, otherwise I guess you'd need to keep manually inviting others in social media or inviting people you meet during online games.
>>34473634>make close friends and hang out irl>doubt you can make friends i wanna play gamesOkay for starters why even bother. 2 just try it then. It can't be that hard and since you aren't some big influencer than you will end up with a tight circle most likely or a fun little server
