I never got many matches on dating apps, like a couple every month, but for the past half year or so, I've gotten near nothing. It doesn't matter what I try. New pics, changing settings, staying out of them for a couple months, nothing can fix me being in the shit list, I guess. I even caved in and paid for a month. Still nothing. What can I do?
>>34474285Go to the gym.
>>34474285Delete your account and create a new one. The apps give more matches to new users to reel them in.
>>34474285I used to get like 100 matches in a week, but ive been having the same experience as you. I think its just a sign telling us we need to go try in real life
>>34474299I do go to the gym.>>34474301I've though about that but it feels kinda scummy? I don't even know if it'll work since you need a new phone number + face recognition is probably gonna get me.
>>34474285Serious question. Why would you want a girl you found advertising her self on a dating app? She is putting that ass out there for 10's of thousands.
>>34474569Cause all the girls in my friend circle and their friends are taken already/ not interested
>>34474285Date apps have like 3:1 m-f ratio. I think you would have more chances from smoehow infiltrating amomg normies and getting a social life.
>>34474523Why would it try to tell you that? The longer you stay on it the more money it makes.
>>34474662I get that but shouldn't it give me SOME matches at least?
>>34474285I'm very successful with women IRL, and yet I'm an invisible nobody on the dating apps. I think they're unusable at this point unless you're a paying customer. Used to go on 50+ tinder dates a year back in the day. But nowadays the apps just don't work at all. Something changed and it wasn't me.
>>34478883Sorry I forgot to add the numbers.I used to get multiple matches every day, before 2022 (on a free account). But nowadays I'm lucky if I get one match per month. Paying for premium doesn't do anything. You might double or even triple your matches, and go from zero dates to zero.
>>34478467It's all based on promise now rather than actual delivery. You always have the POTENTIAL to match with someone interesting, but if you ACTUALLY do that you'll stop using the app. What they want is for you to pay for a premium subscription in the hopes that you'll get more/better matches. They all work like this now.I had the same thing where for a while there about 9-6 years ago I'd get more matches than I knew what to do with. No way I could keep up with, message, or date them all. It's since dried up significantly in the last 5 years or so, and I'm lucky if I get any likes who I actually find attractive. My brother started on dating apps right about as they stopped working for me, and he had great success. He even let his current long-term gf on an app. He's always been a bigger hit with the ladies, in any case, but it was also his first foray, and the apps reward that. Completely new profiles get a huge boost so that you're more likely to want to come back if your fling didn't work out. But if you delete your profile and then remake it, your success diminishes. This is what happened with me. They're encouraging you to always have the app ready to go as a backup option. The whole thing is really insidious and predatory. You CAN have success, but if you've already tried and at any point had none or very little, you should probably pack it up or at least go in not expecting anything to come out of it.

If no one is getting anything out of it even when they pay then its just going to collapse. software is only viable as a business model when said software makes the task it does far easier and more convenient than any alternative. The moment it cant do that its dead in the water.
