Corporate fucking sucks, team meetings all the fucking time, not just doing my job but tracking and proving that I'm doing my job, often in more than one place, being tied to my desk the entire day. I genuinely have no reason to get up which was absolutely not the case at my last place. Everything is over teams or email, except the useless meetings, and AI is the stupid new thing everyone needs to be using. Then there's the constant underlying feeling of stress and exhaustion everyone displays. In manufacturing the job either gets done or it doesn't and people notice. In corporate theres this constant need to always be performative in what you're doing.Was work always like this? I cannot imagine the office was this fucking bad 50 years ago.
