Sometimes when things get stressful and idk how to deal with it, I can feel my eyes well up and burn, I know they probably get red too. No tears end up ever coming out but it's very frustrating to have this happen in public. I never end up crying, and when some time passes, I go back to a neutral numbness. Hate that I can't control this. I can't even relieve myself from my tears constantly welling up. It makes me feel so weak. Literally, how the fuck do I get a grip?
Have you considered just crying in public but continuing to function?

They don't bawl and cry in public, but they do have the urge to under stress or grief just like you. And the way to handle it is using the two methods I mentioned.
