My Android phone sometimes doesn't allow me to take screenshots. Like when I'm using telegram and someone sends me one of those self destructing photos that delete themselves after you view them and I want to take a screenshot of them, it denies me.

The fuck can I do about this? This is some bullshit man. How the fuck am I not allowed to take a screenshot of shit that's on my fucking phone?

Get a 2nd phone and use that phone to take a picture of the screen of the 1st phone.

cracked me up the first time an app said this. banking app or something, i mean i get it.

but you're right OP, it's your computer. i'm not going to give some whole Linux/free software spiel, but those are the pixels on the screen you own.

i'd compare it to early DVDs that had ads and didn't let you immediately skip to the top/main menu. some psychopath intentionally programmed that in.
