I'm 35 years old and my entire life I've been absolutely fine with heights. I've always been okay with standing on balconies, being on top of buildings, looking over cliffs. Then suddenly, within the past year or so, I've developed a really big fear of heights. I don't know why. I can't even watch movies or think about pictures I see that have cliffs. When I'm in a car and I go over a bridge, I get really nervous and have to count down til we have safely crossed the bridge. Again, never once had this problem in my life...How can a fear like this develop so late in life? There wasn't any major event or thing that happened to me to make me like this.
Have you developed a stronger feeling of self preservation? A desire to live?
>>34482668Probably because you're getting older and less athletic.
>>34482668Could it be that you recently had a child or purchased a house? I could see that happening.I hope I am only projecting on you but I developed claustrophobia after thirty and found a brain tumour a couple years later. I noticed a few braintumorfags around here so please do not get us confused if I missspelled something.
