I just found my ex girlfriend got engaged to a guy after a few months of dating.She is a single mom from a poor country, who is/was (?) in my country on a temporary visa. We met at work and hit it off pretty quickly. I was living at home (still am, for the moment) while she was renting with a stranger. I liked her a lot, but it was clear we were pretty different people - she told that me that she knew she wanted to marry me soon after we met, and there were pressures to do that to get a visa. But then she also said, after ~7 months of knowing each other, that she would never have dated me ten years ago (I don't think she would have dated me if I lived in her country). There were issues I had with her: rarely asking me questions (one-sided conversation), her seeming inability to save money (spending it on cosmetic surgery, and a fancy car which required a loan), and occasional outbursts of anger when she was annoyed or wanted things done her way. She had plenty of positive traits too, obviously.Still, the guy she is with now is objectively superior to me (much better job, taller, popular on social media, better educated).Any advice on how to process this?

If anything I think she is the one to have dodged a bullet. There is no doubt in my mind that on the rare occasions she thinks of me at all, it is to thank god that I never actually did proposed like she hoped I would, and has now met someone infinitely better. It's a really weird feeling.

Yeah I don’t see what you need to process lol it is what it is. I had almost the same situation. My ex repeatedly telling me she wants marriage and babies right now. I keep telling her to wait. We do this for a few years, she eventually breaks up with me for her beta bux provider and gets knocked up immediately. I don’t blame her for this at all she is doing what she should be doing. I’m weirdly even proud of her. Her husband is lucky to get a girl who I trained up. She will take good care of him and act right as long as he doesn’t fuck up too much
