If you couldn't leave work until your coworker gets there, and he was 5 minutes late every day, and then wanted you to hang around for half an hour after he gets there, would it annoy you? I told him his lateness is pissing me off because I just wanna go home. But he still does it.

We have a time sheet. So we write when our shift ended. I'm starting to write when he actually gets there now. And I'm wondering is this petty, or would this annoy other people too.

Do it. Fuck that guy

Do it. And, in a "just have the company's interests in mind" way, mention it to your boss or supervisor

That's really shitty of him to do to you. Anyone who has ever done shift work knows how much of an asshole you have to be to consistently be late to relieve the guy from the previous shift.
You should totally snitch on him.
