not much, i dont think. for me about 3K each. but it depends on if you feel like you can really care for animal. cats are very low maintenance, but when they get used to you they are very cuddly. my advice if you are really considering a cat get an older shelter cat. do not get a purebreed as they can typically cost more in vet bills and may have a tendancy of not really caring for you. shelter cats usually come socialized. i know mine did. if cats seem too much for you consider rats. they are very loving companions and if its legal to own them where you live can be a wondeful addition to your life cheeper and full of joy. animals are really slept on as companions of joy.

general:
Number one is definitely sleep. Sleep and cortisol are bidirectional. Consistent and punctual in dream and out of it. Flup FLup. Maybe some walk. Breath through nose. Buteyko sniff sniff. Tape your mouth at night. Don't cut off your foreskin. Get sunny light in the morning. No unnecessary cold exposure. Some walks as low stress exercise in the sun. Cut down on quantity on weightlifting. People overtrain too fast and don't notice. Get some Dorian Yates. Social interactions. Get oxytocin. How? Social interaction. Steal a cat somewhere as the others have suggested. Pet a random dog. Hug your parents. Hug your gf from the insides.

eating:
Eat regularly. No food in you? Get cortisoled to survive. OJ if you have good metabolism. If you don't have, you now have diabetes. So don't then. Don't skip breakfast because empty stomach is as deadly as a car. Drink more milk. Take Ashwagandha. KSM-66 if possible (That shit slaps fr fr, noticeable difference. at least 60 mg of withanolide though). Maybe slurp some magnesium. Glycinat if I remember correctly. Chamomile Tea with ginger in the evening. Little sugar and milk with it. Occasional Aspirin to ascend. Generally more carbs. Don't fuck too much with caffeine.

Speaking in very broad terms, you need to take care of what is worrying you on the first place.

Do you feel bad about your body figure? Then work out
Do you feel lonely? Then find friends
Do you feel boredom? Then find a fulfilling hobby
Do you feel like you haven't done much in your life? Then ask yourself why you think that, and work towards fixing it one step at a time

Like I said, it's very broad and obvious, but the point is just fixing what you feel is missing or wrong or worrisome in your life.
