Unironically, how the fuck do I get a job? I don't get it. Explain it to me like it's my first day on Earth.
>>34486523Go on a job search website Type in on Google "job search website"Go on that websiteEither think of the job you want and search itOr search everything by filtering it to your areaScroll through all the jobsIf one looks interesting click itRead the job description and if you feel that you are capable to do itClick on "apply now"Follow the steps. Then you wait for the email or phone call. If you get an email or phone call they will ask for an interview. The interview will either be in person or over the phone. The interview will be questions about your motivation to work "why do you wanna work why do you wanna apply to this job what about our company made you wanna apply" And your last experiences with work "Have you worked before, how long ago, what did you do in the job, what was your best day at work and what was your worst day at work. What things did you do good what mistakes did you do"Then they either tell you that you can have the job if they think you are suitable. They usually tell you later after a few days or a week after the interview.
>>34486635Do you need to bring something with you on the interview, like diplomas and such?
>>34486661No you don't need to bring anything with you. Just make sure you dress well but don't over do it. Not too formal not too casual (don't go in a full suit but don't go in just a shirt and jeans either).I recommend a white button up shirt and dark jeans, a combo of casual formal.
>>34486523hey little advice, current jobs dont give a fuck about school degrees and college, all they care about experience, they are too lazy to teach you, so u should come prepared, and think of things ur good at, like some skills, like if ur good at drawing or other things, you should use your God given skills and use that for a job
>>34486635I tried that before, and I just didn't get it. How do I even know which site I'm supposed to be on?
>>34486807scroll threw social media to find good websites to apply for jobs, use a customized ai to fill up your application using AI, and same thing u can find AI websites in social media like instagram and tiktok
>>34486825I just don't really get it. There's a wall of options, and it feels like none of them are correct.
>you see a wall of jobs>"Factory assistant" whatever that isI just don't get it. If I knew the place, and I knew the people, I'd feel more comfortable just slipping in there and starting to work, but I don't know. It could literally be anything. There could be murderers working there.
>>34486843ill suggest for you to ask people around who got jobs from applying from a website, like friends or family, or even people in internet, i never used websites to apply jobs, i just had connections
>>34486877>>34486523I do understand it. Sometimes I feel like asking the cashier or person at a drugstore how they got that job,for example, but I fear it might make them uncomfortable or something.I wish I could help more, but I also got my job through connections. I simply asked if they had a spot open where they could fit me in, and they said ok.
>>34486948when would you say it's appropriate to ask?
>>34486523do blackface and walk into a bank and say "gimme a job nigga" and they'll give you one because they think you're black
>>34487145In my case in particular, it was a very lucky chain of events, so I don't think it is particularly helpful.I had a friend who was complaining that 'nobody wanted to do real work anymore these days'. I semi-jokingly said 'hey man, if you can find me a spot i'm in', he said 'for real? alright', and then a month later he contacted me saying he found a spot for me at his job. I then took a few exams, gathered some required documents (ID, proof of residence, proof of health, etc.), delivered the documents and talked with HR the day before the work started, got sorted out, and that was it. I learned stuff as I went. But in general, if you know someone, I think there's no problem in asking if their place is hiring. Also, another thing that might help is, sometimes places have a paper saying 'looking for new hires' or some such, usually with a link to a website below. You can either inquire someone at the place about it, or you can access the link and fill out the required forms,
I'm still asking.
Perhaps start by visiting a local temp agency. You can also apply on the websites of local fast food restaurants, retail stores, and grocery stores. Having a happy, positive, and respectful attitude when being interviewed is a boon.
>>34490730I don't really understand what a temp agency is or how to access one.
>>34490761They're companies that can help you become employed for at least a temporary period of time. Search "temp agencies near me" on Google Maps and see what comes up. Look on their websites for more information.
>>34490792this is just all kind of beyond me. I feel like a need a very responsible human being to do it for me.How do you know where to go?
>>34486523Best way to do it is ask around. I've never seen anyone get a decent job by applying online. They asked around. Someone knows a guy who knows a guy who needs an employee, and boom. Job.Hell, that's how I got the only job I ever had. Asked my parents, mom knew a guy, and boom. Had a job. Never submitted an application.
>>34491008yeah, my problem is I don't know anyone.
