>apply incessantly online
>get interviews maybe once in a month or two
>all interviews go very well
>all interviewers neglect to call back

What the fuck is going on? What do I do to get an edge in getting a job, I'm getting impatient and losing money. are there any tips or anything I can do?

What kind of work?
Do you ever seek feedback post-interview?
Have considered subtlety changing your goal from a vague get a job to wanting to pursue a particular line of endeavour?
Were able to talk in depth about how you once made a problem go away or something you learned a lot from?
Ditto talk about what it is about the role or employment that attracted you?
What are you doing now to improve your usefulness?
Do you know what exites you and what bores you?

Note this is not advice but straightening out your mindset first…

>What kind of work?

Mainly retail

>Do you ever seek feedback post-interview?

Most of what I have done post interview is ask when I can expect to hear back and if there is anything else I should do or anyone else I should talk to before leaving

>Have considered subtlety changing your goal from a vague get a job to wanting to pursue a particular line of endeavour?

I am really just looking for retail or grocery work or something right now. I need a job and I need it now, I'm still in school and I need money to support myself, I can't be too discriminate

>Were able to talk in depth about how you once made a problem go away or something you learned a lot from?

Yes, I've had a lot of those conversations in all my interviews lately

>Ditto talk about what it is about the role or employment that attracted you?

I always like to ask what my responsibilities would be on the job, and what the training period would look like, then I come up with my own questions based on the answers I get.

>What are you doing now to improve your usefulness?

I'm not sure what this question means. I've been doing a bunch of yard work for my family lately, that's about all I've been up to when I'm not applying

>Do you know what exites you and what bores you?

Being poor bores me and having a job excites me.

You're a male, you belong in the back stocking shelves with the monkeys, not customer facing retail.

Well all the gardening jobs, warehouse jobs, and dishwashing jobs, etc. that I've put in for haven't done me any good either, so that means nothing to me

Job market is in complete shambles

It's just numbers and persistence at this point

If you've got a car that allows it and you can, start taking gig work to tide you over.
