i made a thread here some time ago asking for advice after the death of my parents (my father murdered my mother and then killed himself). Im living in a shelter and its much worse than i expected. Many of the girls who live here bring men in their 20s and 30s. Once, one of them tried to touch me thinking i was asleep. The girls are extremely problematic and want to hit you just for breathing (its happened more than once, and ive been hit twice already). Anyway, what should i do? Id like some really solid advice on how to improve this situation a bit. Fighting them back isnt an option, by the way, believe me when i say i dont stand a chance without a revolver

What kind of shelter are you staying in? A woman's shelter isn't going to allow men but a homeless shelter will.

>>34494900If OP has a job and a driver license and money for a used car, living out of a car may be preferable. Going to need to do some research to make sure she's prepared to keep the car cool in summer and warm in winter though I recommend she look into car homelessness.
>>34494951>>34494954Yes, i would definitely work to buy a car that is a bit bigger and then make it comfy. I would also park it somewhere very safe. I know that there are lots of dangerous places in the US so make sure you are very safe. I would probably move to a state with mostly white people and then you can just park your car there and make a little home out of it. Get some pepper spray though just in case.
>>34494977Parking in the wrong (nice) neighborhood is the actual risk. You will absolutely get the police called on you. It's better she save up for things like electric blankets and fans to run from her car, a good sleeping bag that can handle a variety of temperatures at both extremes she expects to deal with, and a way of obscuring visibility while parked to make it hard to tell anyone is living inside. Some stores will allow you to park and sleep in their parking lot overnight, others won't. And since OP is going to college, she may even be able to get away with parking on campus too. Ideally by the time she's close to graduating, she'll have a better solution than this.

Talk to your college for help navigating any resources they may have too. Housing, financial aid, etc. And meanwhile, save up money for this >>34495005.If all else fails consider running away from that shelter and to a different one.

>>34495005Interesting. I don’t live in the US so i’m not familiar with those things. I was thinking why not park at some village? or close to the forest somewhere more remote. Though i personally fine forests creepy at night but i would hate living with aggressive bitches even more.

Some people offered their condolences, but i highly doubt that many people shed tears because of this
