I’m someone that gets along with both social outcasts and the popular crowd, because at my core I’m a chronically online sperg but I was surrounded by cool normalfags growing up. Lately though I’ve been leaning more into my “cool” side because this fucked up incel life has been driving me to manic depression. Basically I’m in this friend group with other cool people and I’ve even managed to fuck this hot htb a couple times. Problem is I’m also friends with this fat retarded chud that everyone in the group hates. This guy is literally Josh Nichols from early Drake & Josh but in real life, only he’s even more fat and retarded. Everybody hates this guy because he’s annoying and he acts like a grade schooler even though he’s in his late adolescent years. We’ve been friends for over a year but I fear associating with him will cause me to lose status. I’ve been thinking of cutting him off, but I’d feel like such a dickhead if I went through with it. I used to be just like this guy; he made me feel welcomed when I was a loser with nowhere else to turn. But at the same time being friends with him is like traversing a fucking minefield. He’s so retarded and he’s always unintentionally doing things to fuck me over. Like he told two other people about a fling I had with this one chick, which almost caused her to cut me off. Couple that with the antisocial jokes and people would look at me differently if I were to be openly friendly with him. All in all I just don’t this it’s worth it. Am I handling this correctly?
