6 month sitationship in my college course ended things over text before our final exams saying "she's too overwhelmed with everything to date". Coming close to 2 months ago now. I simply responded with "thanks for letting me know. Best of luck with your exams and everything". She replied back with "I'm sure I'll see you around. I'm not going anywhere!". I never replied to her message and she has never reached out since. Still very shook by it. I've had heartbreaks before but the cruel and impersonal nature of ending things over text is eating me away. I'm fighting the urge to reach out to ask why she ended things like that. Especially when we had mutual friends. It's like I never mattered at all.

>It's like I never mattered at all.
You said yourself it was a situationship - why would you?

But the more important question is, why haven't you reached out? She made it crystal clear she wanted to hear from you when her exams were over. You inexplicably didn't get back to her, and so she interpreted that as you rejecting her. Basically you dumped her, not the other way round.

Did you consider that she is probably fucking other dudes? Women have endless opportunities for sex and dating. They don't need you in particular.

I don't think she did?

My first girlfriend ended things over text after a year, I was a first boyfriend, she ghosted me for a while and then after I saw her on bumble after a month she sent a ‘sorry you are feeling this way’ rude message and refused to give me any closure at all.

It’s been 7 months and I haven’t been with anyone since, despite trying really hard, and I only had sex with her twice.

You know the first Type O Negative album? That’s how I feel.

It may not have been crystal clear to you, but it was to her.

Closure is not real. There is no satisfactory way to end a relationship unless it is mutual. OP you will not feel any better if you knew "why" just get over it or make up a reason yourself if you are so inclined. She has moved on and has probably fucked a couple rebounds.

Actually, it’s so bad that I had intense dreams where I heard another man fucking her upstairs while I screaming that I don’t want to be alone anymore

you weren't anything retard, she was probably banging another guy at the same time while fucking you. A "situationship" isn't anything.

> "I'm sure I'll see you around. I'm not going anywhere!"

That's not crystal clear. That's just her being nice so she thinks its ended amicably

She broke up by text. You accepted that and essentially approved of her method by responding by text. If you find that communication method too impersonal you should have insisted on talking with her face to face
