I'm 22, and I know thats young, but i'm watching all my friends and family get married, some at even younger ages.I'm aware that statistically speaking younger married couples divorce quicker, but I can't help but be envious sometimes. Everyone in my family and inner circle has a long term relationship or is married. And here I am, a single autist reading about Orthodoxy and studying Greek (which my dad clearly thinks is strange, as if there isn't a big enough disconnect with my family).I can't run from everyone around me who has this blessing, and strangely enough at the same time many of those in my social circle are women. I'm quite confident I could get a date, but i'm not attracted to them. They're not even ugly I just dont put that much time into thinking about them. None of them are similar to me really, and none of them do I find physically attractive either. Yet at the same time I wish I had a woman. Its not that I hate women, I just dont find any of the women around me appealing. None of them excite me anymore. None of them are really that interesting. What do
If you're 22 and virgin, it's just over, the statistics show it.
>>34499340what purpose does marriage serve? companionship? they can't give you that and you know it. all it is is more stress and misery. Sex? Just jerk off, its 80% as good as sex. so stop falling for fomo and peer pressure and get on with your life.
Surround yourself with bitter, divorced men and be glad you're not cucked
>>34499468This guy's a retard. Disregard him. You're very young. Figure out your life and have fun for the next 6-8 years. If you happen to find someone who really excites you during that time then that's great. However, you need to work on enjoying life and not focus on "finding" someone. That doesn't work. You just need to cruise on with your life and enjoy it, which will attract good people into your life. I liken it to the "wu wei" which preaches going with the flow of the universe and not trying to force things to be the way you want them to be. If you get to where you're in your early 30s and still having these same issues, maybe then revisit and try to understand what may be working against you. Even then it isn't too late, so as a 22 year old you should feel as if you have every advantage right now. Because you do.
>>34499340Use envy as motivation to reach your goals of gettin' married early
>>34499340You're looking at a skewed sample. Average age for first marriage in the USA is 30.5. Older in other countries
the people that usually talk bad about marriage are the ones that nobody picked like those strong independent bitches or men that cant get a woman to love them. Marriage is great with the right person. The best even.
