>take it easy at home alone playing vidya and shit>feel disappointed in myself, desire to go out and do stuff>break out and do stuff>’wow i really hate this, i wish i was home alone taking it easy’How do I escape this vicious cycle?I’m trying.
>>34503491don't feel pressured to take the common path, it's your life, take your ownkeep in mind that medicine can be bitter, think about how you feel after going out and doing stuff, or how you feel after a long time of NOT going out and doing stuff
>>34503491Playing games feel bad because you probably know that you already wasted too much time on them. Going outside and simply exist in the real world feels bad because you probably wasted too much time as a shut-in (who plays games) without building meaningful experiences, thus, making the real world less enjoyable.
>>34503491When you out do the “stuff”, you have to have something you get out of it. Otherwise, you’ll feel like you wasted your time. For instance, if you go see a movie in a theater, you might do it because you want to hear it from a really good sound system, or maybe you want to be immersed in the crowd reaction. If you go to the movie theater and don’t care about any of these exclusive things, it’s no different than watching it at home. You will feel that you wasted your time.People on this board ask why they should be outside when they don’t get anything out of it. But all they do is just roam around endlessly with no real goal or plan or just stand outside in the woods. There has to be some reward for doing the outdoor activity or else you won’t be compelled to keep doing it.

Find out what you like outside, which requires trying things.
