what should someone who has turned to medication like lithium and SSRIs do to resolve the feeling of nothingness that results from medication vs the too much that results from life
>>
looking for actual advice because wtf do you do when both sides of the situation are too much, medicated feels like shit and unmedicated feels like shit

Gradually acclimate yourself to life so that you can ultimately quit the medication entirely. Drugs aren't and could never be a long term solution. You have to learn how to be the master of yourself eventually, because that's what it means to be healthy. Requiring drugs to be healthy is unhealthy by definition.

Just embrace eternal doom and rawdog this life all the way to the grave.

I've taken lithium, paroxetine, and currently I'm taking sertraline.
Lithium didn't change anything in my life, except that it damaged my kidneys.
Paroxetine cured my depression.
I'm using sertraline to treat OCD.

But now I'll answer your question. If you want to resolve the feeling of emptiness, visit the tourist spots in your city. Make a list of the places you want to visit, use Google Maps and travel tip websites to help you. If you don't live in a tourist city, that's okay, every city is interesting in some way (unless you live in a small town with 1,000 inhabitants, in which case, fuck you).
