Is it worth working as a video editor? I'm still undecided about what to do with my life; I thought about editing because it seems easy and I can do it from home.

i watched the star wars film "rogue one" last night and the editing was AWFULthis is NOT for everyone
>>34506218I'm not a professional, but have a lot of experience with my own projects, so keep that in mind as you read.Do you have experience already? Cause if not, it's going to be hard getting into it. Unfortunately, as with most artistic jobs, you need to be very skilled to just get an entry level job. Editing is not an easy job either, Good editors have to put in a great deal of effort to make it all work. It unfortunately goes unnoticed if it's good, but it's very noticeable if it's bad.But try it out. Even though it'll be hard, it's never too late. Kdenlive is free and offers the basics. I also think DaVinci Resolve is free but I've never used it. And if you like it and want to keep going, you can try out the professional software too. I hope you succeed because we need more good editors. They can really make or break a movie/show.
