I'm in my 20s and have enough freedom to leave my fate up to the whims of fags on 4chan.
I'm in College for nursing. Currently, I'm attempting to retake a course that I failed prior and struggle with, and I cannot delay this course. I have a limited amount of time with the college to pass and delaying this will result in an automatic failure to pass due to running out my allotted time.
However, due to the class structure, to take this course I will be sacrificing 5/9 biweekly work days at my current healthcare job, forcing me to drop from full time to part time.
I already have enough funds to pay for the course, and any future courses I can scrounge up money for, but I have to ask, is it actually worth it at this point.

I would be upgrading from being a Personal Support Worker to a Nurse, which is a massive positive, but I would still be in education for nearly two more years. I would likely be unable to continue working at my current job after this point.
What should I do?

Look for a different job in the meantime.
You have to keep working and you have to keep looking for jobs that will get you fill employment after. Your current one will blackball you for promotion if they haven't already so don't make the mistake of getting comfortable.
You need to have things nailed down 8 months before you graduate.
Ideally a full year before.
The tolerances are razor thin. But yes absolutely upgrade your education.
Also consider lining up reskilling into physical therapy or radiology assistant in 6 years if you haven't been promoted by now.
You need to grind nonstop for the next decade to avoid falling behind.
You'll be miserable.
You'll hate it.
But you'll kill yourself at 32 if you don't do this.
Nowadays you need an absolutely merciless grind to stay ahead.

you can find another psw job easily. they cant really afford to fire you in that field either. stay on course, don't become a lifetime bedpan carrier like me. definitely upgrade to nursing

places hiring psws always need nurses, im sure anon would be fine to get a promotion. they love internal hires in healthcare. radiology assistant is a downgrade from nurse in pay. they just need to finish out the next 2 years. no need to grind incessantly

Have you considered studying?

Go for it, the sooner you do it the better.
