A friend of mine has been in a secret relationship with a married man for nine years. Well, it used to be secret anyway. The woman found out in 2024. She was devastated and tried to separate them, but my friend hung in there. Last week, the husband moved into an apartment with my friend. They're finally living together and planning their wedding for later in the year. Overall, my friend doesn't feel guilty. She feels this is for the best since her fiancé is her soulmate, and thus belongs with her rather than the ex-wife. But one thing that does bother her is that the guy has a 10 year old son, and he doesn't like her at all.So yeah. Any advice for my friend for how to get the son to warm up to her?
dey call that a homewrecker i think...but yeah, it's good you & the friend both care about the son, and hopefully things work out so his life isn't fucked up by it too muchwish i had advice but good luck
i guess it's probably an issue of boundaries, as far as the son is concernedif he doesn't like her, but his dad does, the son might feel alienated from both parentsthis should be avoided if possible

>>34510130No, it's not me...
>>34510073Sounds like the setup of a shoujo anime. Get the kid a girlfriend and have him focus on his own life.
>>34510595A shoujo anime? How?
>>34510073>Any advice for my friend for how to get the son to warm up to her?No, as the kid is within his right to not like anyone. We're talking about a woman who contributed to his family being separated (using contributed cause it takes two to tango, dad's as responsible as she is). I wouldn't warm up to a homewrecker either, especially if said homewrecker broke up my parents' marriage. Hell, I'd probably be bitter regarding his dad if I was in his position, too. What I can say though is that the parents of the boy could teach him to tolerate the lady if she is going to be on the kid's life from now on, but that's something that the woman should not even try to do.
>>34510073Being separated means joint custody most likely. At least she won't have to deal with the kid every single day
>>34510073Your friend is literally Hitler
