Hi bros, I am looking for advice, guidance, or anything about my faith. I’m a born and raised French Catholic woman. Turning 24 soon. I had a calling for Catholicism when I was 14, even if I was put in Catholic schools with mandatory mass, priests or nuns as principals, etc. since I was a kid. I used to resent it until I met my first catechism teacher, who explained religion more intimately than long sermons. I had a very complicated life growing up, especially in love relationships or with bullying or even family problems. But my faith never left, in hardships as well as celebrations. I praised the Lord and Mary every week on my own and spread Christ’s teachings to my friends, most importantly about Jesus’s love and forgiveness and misericordia. I still go to church today, mostly alone, and joined the almoner at each church every time I moved since graduating high school. That being said, my faith in the Lord is growing stronger every day. He was always there for me, and I want to teach his lessons in my friendships, teaching friends about forgiveness. I deeply study the Bible after work; the rosary once a week helps me feel at peace. The more my faith grows, the less I am interested in being in a loving relationship. I love my neighbor, but I think I want to dedicate my life to Christ, people, and handicrafts. I resonate a lot with Saint Augustine’s words. However, as a Catholic woman, I cannot be a priest. And I do not feel a calling to be a nun, wanting to be as close to the people as I can. Is it possible, in Christianity, for a woman to turn her life to Christ without living in a convent? I don’t know if my feelings are normal or what to do with them, but they have been coming back for 10 years now. I want to love the Lord's creation wholly rather than dedicating my heart to a small circle.

I think you should visit a convent to pray and meditate on your vocation even if it's not for the sake of joining that particular convent. If you explain it to the sisters, they will understand. You can't have perfect knowledge, only God can, so you have to make the choice and then listen to what His Majesty says about it. Go to a convent for some silence, check if there are vocational retreats in your parish or diocese as well. Remember that Little Saint Therese said that she wanted to be everywhere for everyone, and the only way to do that was to retreat and pray for everyone.However, if you really are sure that you don't have a religious vocation, you should be aware that informal leadership is a very important part of any parish. Being the person who gets things done is a way to serve Christ in other people. Organize the bazaar, the soup kitchen, the kid's group, the home visits to the elderly, and so on. There are many secular orders, so you don't have to be a nun to join an order.Finally, TALK TO A PRIEST, not just strangers on 4chan.

I felt a strength to pull me to my usual church Saint-Sulpice, having recently moved to Paris less than a year ago. I went to pray to Marie’s temple in the back of the church like I usually do, to give me a sign. I wanted to go to talk to a priest afterwards but felt too paralyzed with anxiety to talk yet. For the first time, and out of pure coincidence, a mass started, oriented towards our new pope, people working in faith and war victims. The only place left was next to a sister. I took it as a quiet sign but didn’t act on it yet. It kept me up until late at night. There is a covent next to where I live, I am currently looking on if I can join to retreat and pray and hang with sisters. I also talked to the priest after mass who told me to come next Sunday to see him in the late afternoon. Thank you for the kind message and orientation. I talked about it with people online as anonymous because my friends don’t have a faith as strong as mine and is more cultural. I know 4chan has some Christian bros, that is why.
