Is it shallow to be attracted to someone because of their music taste? There is one girl currently who has music taste similar to mine and is knowledgeable about music in general which I find attractive. We've haven't talked that much, either we were in a group and when we had a few short conversations one on one it was mainly about music only.I feel like I'm starting to like her but I feel like it's kind of dumb to like someone just because of their music taste (and I guess looks too, she looks good as well). I barely know anything else about her. Maybe I'm overthinking it but I rarely develop feelings for someone and with the last girl it was because we had the same outlook on life in many aspects which is something far more important than music taste.
>>34513348>is it shallow>far more importantAre you trying to date to please somebody else?
>>34513348Be me>Go to Japanese school on exchange program>Boys make fun of me, call me gaijin>Put Death Grips on the class stereo>All the girls visibly blown away>They ditch their guys and flock to me>One boy tries to beat me up>He slips and breaks his shin>Girls cheer>Left Japan with 19 LINE contacts and they still tell me I blew their minds with Death Grips
>>34513348Just for it dude. Going to a concert together might not be a bad date idea either.
>>34513348what is that brown hand doing in this picture?btw, women don't actually "have tastes"https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FgxacX72snA&ra=m
>>34513348nah i met my husband that way
>>34513490thanks for the copypasta
>>34513348That's not shallow imo. It might not be the best foundation to build a relationship on, but if you two are otherwise compatible, music can be a good way to initially bond.
>>34513348Shared taste is a very good place to start.
>>34513348I'd personally focus on something beside just music taste but I wouldn't say its completley shallow if it's what's drawn you to her intiailly, it is a common point of interest that you can both share and enjoy together. It IS shallow if it is the only reason after getting to know her, ideally you should like more things about a person beside their music taste. It is something that's drawn you to her initially, totally fine.>"Just because she likes the same bizarro crap you do doesn’t mean she’s your soul mate.”
>>34513348One of the best relationships of my life started when she discovered I was a fan of some obscure metal band that she also loved.
>>34517927x to doubteven if your dubious story is to be believed it's utterly irrelevant as that sort of thing does not exist under current conditions because of hoeflation
>>34513656Statistically it's an attempted rape
>>34515241But not an end allIt may get your foot into the door, but then you have to play this game of back and forth where your relationship with her isn't just limited to your taste in music but all aspects of your lives.Give it a shot anon. And be open to open up about your interests.
>>34513348this used to work for me but also women will lie and say they like stuff you like if they are into you so maybe she's into you
